Munich, Germany: People Condemn the Persecution in China – “More People Should Wake Up”

(Minghui.org) On May 6, 2023, Falun Dafa practitioners held events at Karlsplatz in Munich. They demonstrated the exercises, displayed banners and told passersby about Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of this traditional mind-body cultivation practice.

The peaceful exercise demonstrations attracted many passersby. Many people stopped to get more information and signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.

Ms. Sahin Senilai signed the petition and said, “I have seen videos of Falun Dafa practitioners practicing in the park on social media. They looked very peaceful. The harmony of body, spirit and nature is wonderful. People must wake up and know what integrity and love are, especially in today’s chaotic times.”

Engineer: The Persecution Will End

Kuno Kübler, retired environmental systems engineer

Kuno Kübler, a retired environmental systems engineer, stopped to read the large banners as he was passing by the square. He then came to the practitioners’ information desk to learn more.

“I knew that Falun Dafa has been persecuted for years, so I wanted to learn more about it,” he said. “It’s really horrible to be imprisoned for your beliefs and then have your organs harvested because of your faith.

“It’s inhumane. I cannot believe that this kind of thing is happening in the 21st century. I can’t understand at all why the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa,” Kuno said. “China’s ancient traditional culture goes back thousands of years. It would be great if this dictatorship and totalitarianism could end in this era.”

Kuno believes there are universal values worldwide. He said, “It is time for everyone to find their true selves and the meaning of their lives.

“The persecution has lasted for 24 years. All good people in the world will eventually wake up and stop what the CCP has been doing to [Falun Dafa] practitioners. The persecution will eventually end.” He added, “Practitioners should persevere and not give up.”

Pediatric Nurse: The Organ Harvesting Is Bad

Ms. Katja Kuhlmann, a pediatric nurse, carefully read the information about the CCP’s live organ harvesting of practitioners and signed the petition. “We should not allow live organ harvesting to continue,” she said.

“Of course I think it’s bad. People should have their right as to whether they want to donate their organs or not, and the CCP should not harvest innocent people’s organs by force. The CCP now even takes organs from children. That’s why I signed the petition, because this crime should not have happened.”

While watching practitioners doing the exercises, Katja said, “It’s wonderful. It’s good that Falun Dafa practitioners are doing this, and we should definitely support them.

“We are really fortunate that we can live freely like we do in Germany. It is really lucky for us to be able to do what we like to do.

“I think human rights are the most important thing all over the world. It is a pity that the CCP is trampling on human rights. I understand that it’s extremely difficult to stop it, so we should sign these kinds of petitions and call on our government to keep reminding the CCP to respect human rights. It is very important.”

Business Owners: We Should Stand Up to Support Practitioners

Business owners Katharina and Michael signed the petition to support practitioners and to condemn the persecution. Katharina said, “We read the information and decided to sign to support [Falun Dafa practitioners].”

Michael said they stopped to sign the petition because “It had to be done” and that, “We knew that many Chinese people are being persecuted. So we stopped to support them.”

Katharina added, “The CCP is wrong to harvest organs from Falun Dafa practitioners while they are alive. It is wrong to kill people for organ trafficking. Something must be done to stop it.”

“Persecution Should be Stopped”

Monika and Wolfgang Heldt said they stand in solidarity with practitioners.

Monika and Wolfgang Heldt were taking a walk when they saw a banner calling for signatures to stop the CCP from harvesting organs from practitioners, and they stopped to sign.

Wolfgang said, “Killing people for their organs is a very bad thing. We both think this crime should be stopped, so we signed the petition.”

Monika said, “We can’t believe this is still happening. Money cannot buy everything, including health. People shouldn’t kill others because they want their organs.”

“For 24 years, the CCP has persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners and forbidden people from practicing Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” Monika said. “This is not right.”

Wolfgang added, “Everyone should have freedom of religion, and nobody should interfere with others’ faith. Everyone should live in the manner they think they will be saved, whether they are Buddhists, Christians or others. Everyone should live their own belief.”

The couple accepted a small lotus flower with the words “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” from practitioners and wished them good luck.

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 24 years, through due to the difficulty in getting information out of China, the actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
