(Minghui.org) Two Changchun City, Jilin Province residents were sentenced to four years each on April 28, 2023, for their faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Jing Fengyun was arrested on September 11, 2022, for talking to people about Falun Gong. As Ms. Jing worked at Ms. Guo Caihua’s home as a caregiver, the police took Ms. Guo’s key from Ms. Jing and arrested Ms. Guo at around 11 p.m. that day. Her home was also ransacked.

The two women were targeted because they held firm to their faith in Falun Gong. Their arrests left Ms. Guo’s husband, who has become incapacitated after suffering a stroke, in a dire state. The couple’s son, who worked out of town, had to send his father to a private nursing home.

Ms. Jing and Ms. Guo appeared in the Kuancheng District Court on April 28, 2023, and were each sentenced to four years.

Prior to her latest sentencing, Ms. Guo was previously arrested on September 8, 2006, and her home was ransacked.
