(Minghui.org) Thirty-one years ago on May 13, Master Li Hongzhi introduced Falun Dafa, an ancient mind-body practice, to the public in his hometown, Changchun City, Jilin Province. Since then, countless practitioners took up the practice and live a spiritual life following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

To commemorate this special day, Falun Dafa practitioners have been celebrating May 13 as World Falun Dafa Day since 2000, as their way to express their gratitude for the benefits they’ve received from the practice.

With May 13 this year just around the corner, many Falun Dafa practitioners who work in China’s military, as well as government agencies, including law enforcement, procuratorates, courts, and justice bureaus, sent in warm greetings and congratulated Dafa’s 31st-year since its public introduction.

A judge in Bazhong City, Sichuan Province wrote, “Master taught us the universal values to guide our life. In the past two decades, I’m tempered in Dafa to better myself. Master purified my body and soul and gives me the best I could have. No words can express enough my gratitude for Master.”

A member of the judiciary agency in Laishui County, Hebei Province who just began to practice Falun Dafa said, “I’m so impressed the first time I read a Dafa book. The principles are so profound. After reading Master’s new article ‘How Humankind Came To Be,” I understand the purpose of life. Following Dafa’s teaching, I no longer fight for vested interest and follow the course of nature. I now experience the ease and peace I never had before!”

Another police officer in Bazhong City, Sichuan Province said, “In my special working environment, I always find opportunities to tell my colleagues about Dafa and persuade them not to persecute it. Most of them understood the consequences of it. Some applied for different positions and some left the police system. Those who stayed with their current jobs also try to protect the practitioners whenever they can.”
