Toronto, Canada: Business Owner Recommends New Article from Master Li

(Minghui.org) Joe, who owns a heating and air conditioning company in Toronto, recently read “How Humankind Came To Be” written by Mr. Li Hongzhi, founder of Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong). “Master Li is great and he told mankind what we needed to know,” he said.

A Great Contribution to Society

Joe said that he read the article three times in a row when he saw it the first time, “Master Li told us what is the most important in life and what life is all about. He described where human beings came from and where we are heading. He reminded us to be good and believe in the divine because good is rewarded with good. This article is a great contribution to the world. Truly wonderful!”

Why is this article a great contribution to society? Joe said it’s because Master Li let people know that striving to be good in this chaotic society would lead to a better future and that continuing doing bad deeds would be dangerous.

In Joe’s words, “It seems to me that Master Li is saving mankind. He wrote in the article, ‘The real purpose of building those up is to pave the way for you back to heaven. And that is what’s most crucial, not the brief round of happiness that they can bring you in this lifetime!’”

Joe hoped more people could read this article because Master Li is telling people which path to take to secure a safe future. “The heavenly secrets have been revealed and we’d better not miss it. After all, we need to be responsible for ourselves,” he continued.

Kindness and Friendship

It was over 10 years ago when Joe first came to know a Falun Gong practitioner. She was one of his clients. She had a good manner and was a very nice person. She also said she worked for The Epoch Times.

Joe knew The Epoch Times was founded by Falun Gong practitioners. Like other people from mainland China, he had been exposed to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s hate propaganda against Falun Gong. “Wait, this person is different from what the Chinese media had depicted. I need to look into this [Falun Gong],” he thought.

After a few months, a salesperson from The Epoch Times called Joe asking if he’d like to advertise his business on the newspaper. Joe was glad to meet with the salesperson, who was also a very nice person. Without hesitation, Joe signed a contract. “When it was time to renew the contract for the second year, I said no need to sign it again – I am a permanent client now.”

As time went on, Joe became very supportive of Falun Gong practitioners. Once while driving on the street on a hot summer day and seeing practitioners peacefully protesting against the persecution in China, he gave practitioners a case of bottled water. “It is wrong for the CCP to persecute Falun Gong and the regime is afraid that people will know the facts,” Joe said. “I strongly support Falun Gong practitioners.”

“Faith is very important for us. I can tell that the belief of Falun Gong practitioners gives them motivation and strength,” he explained.

Surviving a Near-Fatal Accident

Joe and his wife renounced membership in the CCP organizations in 2010, and he received blessings.

On December 30, 2018, Joe was rear-ended on Highway 401, often known as the busiest highway in North America. “My car was hit so hard that it made two 360-degree turns,” Joe recalled. “Although I was holding the steering wheel, there was nothing I could do. So I just closed my eyes.”

Suddenly, five characters emerged in front of his eyes, fa lun da fa hao (Falun Dafa is good). “Somehow I was no longer nervous and just stared at the characters,” Joe continued. “When the car finally stopped at the highway shoulder, I just felt a little dizzy (due to the spinning) and minor scratches on my shoulders.”

An ambulance came, but Joe said that he was fine and that he didn’t need to go to the hospital. At his request, they sent him back home.

It was not until a later time did Joe learn what had happened. The driver who rear-ended him changed to the wrong lane. He was about to slow down and change back to his original lane when he mistakenly stepped on the gas instead of the brake. The car jerked forward, sending Joe’s car spinning.

“It was a near-fatal accident and it was almost impossible to escape without severe injuries. So it was a miracle that I only had some scratches,” Joe said. “Right as I was hopeless and helpless, those five characters flashed in front of my eyes. I could feel the blessings from Falun Dafa to be so real.”

Looking back at this experience, Joe said it was because he had always supported Falun Gong practitioners despite the harsh persecution in China and that he had quit the CCP organizations. “Although I am not a Falun Gong practitioner, Master Li still saved me,” Joe added. “That is why I am so grateful. Master is so compassionate and he cherishes everyone.”
