(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Hu Fengjun’s Case Brought to Court
2. [Wen County, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Yuhua Arrested
3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Deguo Arrested
4. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
5. [Taikang County, Henan Province] Sun Airong’s Pension Terminated
6. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Yingxin and His Wife Ms. Yuan Xiukun Arrested
7. [Guang’an City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Yuanling and Her Family Harassed
1. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Hu Fengjun’s Case Brought to Court
Hu Fengjun’s case was sent to the Changtu County Court. Hu was scheduled to be tried in Changtu County Court at 9 a.m. on December 14, 2023.
2. [Wen County, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Yuhua Arrested
Ms. Wang Yuhua, in her 60s, from Dongkou Village, Fantian Town, was arrested by officers Wang Mingrui and Shen Sihui from the Fantian Town Police Station on October 22, 2023. Her whereabouts are unknown.
3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Deguo Arrested
Mr. Zhang Deguo from Linghai City went to Shishan Town in Linghai City to distribute desk calendars which had Falun Gong content on December 5, 2023. He was arrested by officers from the Shishan Town Police Station. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books, and USB flash drives, along with other personal belongings. Mr. Zhang was taken to the Linghai City Detention Center.
4. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
A large number of officers from various police departments in the Binhai area, Dongying City, arrested multiple practitioners on November 29, 2023. The officers ransacked the practitioners’ homes. Below is additional information about known cases of practitioners who were arrested.
Those who returned home on the day they were arrested include: Ms. Liu Yufen, Ms. Wu Xiulan (in her 70s), Ms. Ji Yingping, Ms. Kong Fanlian, Ms. Li Benying, and Ms. Wang Xuemei together with her sister.
Those who were held in Liuhu Detention Center include: Ms. Lu Chunhua, Ms. Wang Fan, Mr. Du Jianxin, and Mr. Zhang Aiquan.
Ms. Liu Chunrong was arrested on the morning of December 7 and taken to Jishu Brainwashing Center.
5. [Taikang County, Henan Province] Sun Airong’s Pension Terminated
Sun Airong (gender unknown) from Taikang County was sentenced to three years in prison by the Huaiyang County Court. The prison refused to accept Sun because he or she failed the physical examination. After Sun was sentenced, the county police pressured the relevant agencies to terminated Sun’s pension.
6. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Yingxin and His Wife Ms. Yuan Xiukun Arrested
Mr. Liu Yingxin and his wife Ms. Yuan Xiukun were arrested at their daughter’s home by three officers from the Qinghe Street Police Station in Changchun City on December 1, 2023. The officers ransacked the couple’s home, and confiscated Falun Dafa books, music players, and yuan (money) with Falun Gong facts printed on them. The couple returned home that evening.
7. [Guang’an City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Yuanling and Her Family Harassed
Officer Zeng Xuebo from the Yongxing Police Station in Huaying City harassed Ms. Luo Yuanling over the phone. Zeng also called Ms. Luo’s daughter, who lives in a different province.
After Ms. Luo was released from prison last year, her pension was suspended by the Huaying City Civil Affairs Department.
