(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 27 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

15. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zheng Yafang Released
1. [Yangquan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Ruiping Sentenced to Three and a Half Years in Prison
Ms. Zhang Ruiping was tried in the Pingding County Court on September 27, 2023. Her lawyer defended her innocence, but she was nonetheless sentenced to three and a half years in prison.
2. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Wang Huayi Sentenced to One Year and Six Months in Prison
Mr. Wang Huayi from Songshan District, around 60 or 70 years old, was arrested on July 5, 2023 for distributing truth clarifying materials. It was recently learned that he was sentenced to one year and six months in prison.
3. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Liu Chunxia Faces Trial
Ms. Liu Chunxia from Huyi District was scheduled to be tried in the Lianhu District Court at 9:30 a.m. on December 7, 2023.
4. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Aiguo and His Wife Arrested
Mr. Wang Aiguo’s wife was arrested downstairs at the building where the couple lives by officers from the Chang’an Street Police Station on the morning of October 27, 2023. Mr. Wang was arrested an hour later when he returned home. The police ransacked their home. The police claimed that they found some booklets in a room, which the couple both said did not belong to them. Mr. Wang’s wife was detained for five days. Mr. Wang has been detained for over one month since the arrest and his family is not allowed to visit him.
5. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shen Dailing Harassed
Ms. Shen Dailing was reported to police when she was distributing information about Falun Gong. She was arrested at her home by several officers from the Wuyingshan Police Station at 9 a.m. on November 30, 2023. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and truth-clarifying materials. She was interrogated in the police station but refused to cooperate or answer any questions. Ms. Shen was taken to the Zhongguan Women’s Detention Center. She was denied admission due to her high blood pressure and was released.
6. [Luohe City, Henan Province] Ten Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Yang Tianxing was arrested by officers from the Yuanhui District Police Department, the Liujiang Road Police Station, the Shunhe Street Police Station, and the Malu Street Police Station on September 15, 2023, in a joint operation called the “915 Special Operation.” The police ransacked his home and another place, and confiscated about 300,000 yuan in cash and some personal belongings.
Nine practitioners were arrested the next day, including Ms. Ding Xiuqin who is Mr. Yang’s wife, Ms. Cheng Shufeng, Ms. Xiu, Mr. Zhao Xiang, Mr. Fang Jun, Lianyuan, Ms. Guilan, Ms. Xie Fenglian, and Mr. Zhang from Dengxiang Town. The practitioners were detained for ten or more days in the Kaiyue Hotel and were transferred to the No. 2 Detention Center of Luohe City on September 27 and 28, 2023.
7. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Suzhi Arrested
Ms. Wang Suzhi was arrested at her home in Xinli Village by three officers from the Jianye Township Police Station at 10 a.m. on December 1, 2023. The officers tore off a wall poster and video-recorded her home. Ms. Wang’s family paid 2000 yuan to bail her out.
8. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Mr. Xu Chun Arrested
Mr. Xu Chun was arrested at his workplace in October 2023.
9. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Chen Shuling, Ms. Dong Haiyan, and Ms. Shi Yujie were arrested by officers including Yi Xunguo from the former Wuyi Road Police Station on April 20, 2023. They were held for 15 days in a detention house and were later transferred to a detention center. Their family members were called by the Qiaoxi Court on November 30, 2023 and learned that the practitioners had been sentenced to seven months in prison and fined 2000 yuan.
10. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Zhihui Arrested and Detained
Ms. Jiang Zhihui, 68, from Xinbin County was reported to police for distributing information about Falun Gong, and was arrested by officers from the Xinbin Town Police Station, on the afternoon of December 2, 2023. Her home was ransacked. She is currently being held in the Fushun City Detention Center.
11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Ye Xiaofen Arrested
Ms. Ye Xiaofen from Wuchang District was arrested and was detained in a brainwashing center for two months.
12. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Juying Arrested
Ms. Zhang Juying was arrested by officers from the Hexing Police Station at 9 a.m. on December 1, 2023 when she was distributing 2024 calendars. They ransacked her home and confiscated many personal belongings. Ms. Zhang was released later that day.
13. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhao Li Sentenced to One Year and Ten Months in Prison
The case against Ms. Zhao Li was filed with the Jiangbei District Procuratorate because she distributed information about Falun Gong. She was tried in the Jiangbei District Court on November 24, 2023 and was sentenced to one year and ten months in prison. She is currently being held in the Yubei Detention Center.
14. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Xizhen Arrested
Ms. Liu Xizhen from Koutou Village of Huining Town, was arrested at her workplace by officers from Xindu District on October 12, 2023 but she managed to escape. She stayed away from home to avoid the persecution. Her family was informed by officers from the Huining Town Police Station on the morning of December 5, 2023 that she had been arrested and detained in the police department.
15. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zheng Yafang Released
Ms. Zheng Yafang, in her 60s, lives in Yazihe Village, Mujiayingzi Town, Songshan District, Chifeng City. She was followed, then arrested at her home in 2022 after she distributed truth-clarifying materials at Yongye Square, Chifeng City. She was later sentenced to one year and three months in prison by the Songshan District Court. Ms. Zheng was released in mid-November 2023. When she returned home she learned that her farmers’ land loss insurance had been canceled.
