(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 6 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Beijing] Ms. Li Ruiling Officially Placed Under Arrest
2. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Jianzhen Held in Detention Center
3. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Gan Hongping Missing
4. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Wang Xiangcheng Detained
5. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Quanchun and His Wife Ms. Shi Qingxiu to Be Released From Prison
1. [Beijing] Ms. Li Ruiling Officially Placed Under Arrest
Ms. Li Ruiling and other practitioners were arrested at a rented house in the Shunyi District by officers from the Niulanshan Police Station on the morning of October 3, 2023. On November 10, Ms. Li was officially placed under arrest. She is being held in the Shunyi District Detention Center.
2. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Jianzhen Held in Detention Center
Ms. Wang Jianzhen from Lijin County was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong on November 8, 2023. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Dongying City Detention Center.
3. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Gan Hongping Missing
Gan Hongping (gender unknown) from the Yiling District has been missing for over three weeks.
4. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Wang Xiangcheng Detained
When Mr. Wang Xiangcheng from the Jinfeng District was talking to people about Falun Gong on November 12, 2023, police officers who were staked out nearby arrested him. He was detained for 15 days.
5. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Quanchun and Wife Ms. Shi Qingxiu to Be Released From Prison
Mr. Liu Quanchun and his wife Ms. Shi Qingxiu from Dashiqiao City were arrested on March 24, 2020.
On September 29, 2020, they were sentenced to three and a half years in prison by judge Zhao Dan of the Zhanqian District Court. The couple should return home on November 23, 2023, when their terms end.
