(Minghui.org) Before I began practicing Falun Dafa in 2008, I struggled with poor health and had to retire early. After practicing Falun Dafa, Master Li (founder of Falun Dafa) cleansed my body and I regained my health. My blurry vision also improved through reading Dafa books. Now at age 68, I’m enjoying better health than during my younger years.
After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to suppress Falun Dafa in 1999, I was sent to a labor camp twice and also held in brainwashing centers, as I remained firm in Dafa. But no torture could waver my faith nor my appreciation for Master, for giving me a new life.
With righteous thoughts, I persist in telling people the facts about Dafa and the persecution. I was not well educated, but Master gave me wisdom to become more articulate. I’m always inspired and encouraged to see the positive feedback from people.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I told people that the moral degeneration in society and prevalent corruption were the root cause of the disaster. China used to be known as shen zhou (the land of the divine). But the CCP destroyed traditional Chinese culture and pushed us away from the divine. When people do not follow their conscience, we will not receive blessings from the divine and our futures will be in danger. In addition, the CCP had forced almost all Chinese people to join the Party and its junior organizations, the Youth League and the Young Pioneers. When doing that, people had to make a vow devoting their lives to the regime. Therefore, one needs to quit the CCP organizations for true freedom and a better future.
After people understand what I’m talking about, many of them quit the Party and thank me for the information. Some say that the CCP is rotten to the core, and it has harmed so many people in political campaigns.
I occasionally met people who were hot tempered as if they were ready for a fight. After I told them about Dafa and gave them amulets, their gloomy faces would turn happy, and they would thank me again and again.
In this article, I would like to share a few more stories about people’s awakening.
Security Guard: “Her Family Needs to Know That You Helped Her”
One day I saw a woman helplessly standing in the middle of the road. Worrying about her being hit by a car, I pulled her to the side and asked where she was going.
“My son worked in the county hospital and he has retired. Now he is hospitalized due to diabetes. I want to visit him. But I don’t know the direction,” she said.
I offered to help her. As we were on the road to the county hospital, I told her about Dafa. Upon arriving at the hospital, I told a security guard the situation and the name of the woman’s son.
“It’s not easy to be a good person nowadays. Sometimes the cost is very high,” said the guard.
“Exactly. Falun Dafa teaches people to be good. But many practitioners are jailed for doing so,” I said.
The guard said he could not let me in due to the pandemic. He made a phone call and explained the situation. Then one officer came, and he agreed to let me enter without presenting a negative COVID-19 test.
“You are a nice person,” I said to the officer.
“It is you who moved me,” he said. “You are so selfless to help that woman.”
As I was having some difficulty walking due to a fall earlier, maybe it’s touching for them see me still willing to help others. “I am a Falun Dafa practitioner and I try to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” I replied. I also told him how Dafa practitioners were mistreated in the persecution and urged him to renounce his membership in the CCP organizations. He readily agreed.
The officer led me to a room and he was able to find information about the woman’s son in the system. A nurse then came. It turned out that she was the woman’s granddaughter. I led her to the woman and explained to her about Falun Dafa as we walked. She was very touched and agreed to quit the CCP organizations. When I was about to leave, she asked for my phone number and offered to buy me a gift.
I kindly rejected her but asked her to keep in mind “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
When I walked out of the hospital, the security guard said to me, “You cannot just leave like this. Her family needs to know that you helped her.”
“That is fine,” I smiled and said, “Please remember ‘Falun Dafa is good’ and ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’”
Blessings One After Another
I told a couple who sell apples about Falun Dafa and clarified the defamatory propaganda spread by the CCP. I told them that if people follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in the world, they will have better business and receive blessings. Every now and then, I would visit them with new materials. The husband read Zhuan Falunand Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. After Master published “How Humankind Came To Be” and “Why Save Sentient Beings” earlier this year, I also gave them a copy of each article.
The husband said their business had gone better and they could sell out one truckload of apples in ten days. He also showed me amulets with the phrases, “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
“My daughter’s grade is average in school. How can she improve?” the wife asked.
“Remind her to be a good person and recite ‘Falun Dafa is good’ as well as ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’” I replied.
After the college entrance exam results came out, the wife told me that her daughter did very well following my advice. The family was very thankful.
Many years ago, I told my coworker, Gang, about Falun Dafa. He once fainted and did not regain consciousness until seven hours later. “I almost died,” he said. “It is Falun Dafa’s amulet that saved me,” Gang told his wife. He knew Master saved him and wanted to read Zhuan Falun.
Another coworker, Tao, fell and was injured. I gave him a copy of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. He read it three times straight and said, “I like it very much. Can I read it one more time before giving it back to you?”
“Sure! You can keep it,” I said.
Tao was very happy. Not long after that, he was fully recovered and no longer needed the walking cane. Whenever he saw me after that, he called out, “Falun Dafa is good!”
While being held in a detention center, I told a convicted inmate, Min, about Dafa. Her headache disappeared and she no longer needed to cover her head with a sweater during sleep. She said her mother and sister had a convenience store, and hoped I could tell them about Dafa after my release. She knew the persecution against Dafa was wrong and often recited “Falun Dafa is good” as well as “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Not long after that, she was allowed to serve time outside of prison and she returned home.
Police Officers Learn the Facts
I was accused by two women of taking 400 yuan from them one day. I said I would not do that and asked what happened. One woman said she lost over 400 yuan, and she thought I took it since I talked to her before she noticed her money was gone.
They called the police. A police van soon arrived and several officers came out. One of them was Song, who had visited me in the CCP’s “zero-out” harassment campaign against Falun Dafa practitioners. The two women kept saying I had stolen their money, and I said no. So all of us went to the police station.
After getting there, the police officers took everything out of my bag including Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, Falun Dafa amulets, paper bills printed with Dafa phrases (as a way to raise awareness about the persecution given strict censorship in China), and a list of people who had agreed to quit the CCP organizations.
“Falun Dafa!” one officer called out.
“Falun Dafa tells one to be a good person. It will benefit everyone including you police officers,” I explained.
The police officers then talked with the two women. “Falun Dafa practitioners will not steal money. They are all good people,” he said to the two women. Both of them nodded.
An officer packed things up and put them back in my back. He said he would want to keep the amulets.
“If you believe that Falun Dafa is good, I can give each of you one amulet,” I said.
Pointing at the copy of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party on the table, I said, “These are also for you. After reading it, you will understand what the CCP is and why the divine will phase it out.” I also urged them to no longer persecute Falun Dafa practitioners.
One day when I was reading Zhuan Falun in a park, someone came over and asked me what I was reading. I read out a paragraph and asked him, “Do you like it?”
“Falun Dafa!” he shouted. His voice was so loud that one police officer nearby heard him and came over. It turned out I knew the officer and had told him about Dafa in the past.
“Come on, Falun Dafa helps improve mind and body. Just leave her alone,” the officer said to the man, and then left.
Distributing Materials in the Village
One time I went with several other practitioners to the countryside to distribute materials and put up posters. It was a long trip and we ran out of drinking water. I knocked on a family’s door and asked if they could give me some water.
As the man was getting water for me, I began to clarify the facts to him. “Falun Dafa is well accepted in over 100 countries but is persecuted in China. In fact, the CCP has harmed many people in numerous political campaigns and this is another example. Falun Dafa tells people to be good. But the Party cannot tolerate it and, by suppressing Falun Dafa, it has turned the society into chaos.” I told him why one should quit the CCP organizations for a safe future. He was glad to renounce his membership.
I gave him some materials and he said he would read them. He insisted on giving me more water and some steamed buns he just made.
I was very moved, and said, “Thank you. But Dafa’s Master told us to help and be considerate of others. I can’t take things from you.”
But he insisted, and pushed the steam buns to me. In the end, I accepted them and offered him some money.
Once on the way back, we saw another village far away. We only had one copy of material left, and other practitioners were tired and did not want to go there. So I walked over by myself. As soon as I placed the material outside a house, someone came out, picked up the material, and went back in. It was as if he had been waiting for it. Thinking about this, I was moved to tears—Master has prepared everything for us and we just have to do it.
Traffic Police Officer: I Cherish This Gift from You
I saw a female police officer standing under the burning sun one day and I said she needed to protect herself from sunburn.
She smiled and said, “Thank you, auntie!”
I told her I was a Falun Dafa practitioner. “The Party always deceives people and claims it is for the people. But when we need help, there is no place to get it,” I said. “But Dafa can help anyone anywhere. As long as you recite ‘Falun Dafa is good’ and ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ you will be blessed.”
I also told her how bad the CCP is by persecuting innocent people in the political campaigns. She agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. When I gave her an amulet, she said, “I am so happy and I will cherish this very much.”
Another time I bought some flowers and walked past a store that I had been to frequently. “They are so beautiful!” the store owner said to me.
I greeted her and shared the flowers with her. She turned around and said to a relative in the store, “This auntie is so nice. She always gives me a lot of good things.”
I was puzzled since this was the first time I had given her something. I then realized I had told her many times about the beauty of Dafa and the persecution while giving her materials and amulets. She knew those were the best gifts for her.
“Do You Have an Amulet for Me?”
Some time ago, I met a young man named Jiang. His parents had quit the CCP organizations and he also heard some facts about Dafa previously. But I was not sure if he had renounced his Party membership. When I talked to him one day, he told me that he recently had a car accident, and he also dreamed of his grandfather who had already passed away. The grandfather asked him to come back since he did not belong there. He was confused and wondered if I might know how to explain the dream.
I said I guessed because his parents had quit the CCP organizations and he also received blessings and was protected in the car accident. I urged him to quit the CCP again and told him that the divine will bless those who uphold their conscience and sever ties with the CCP. He happily agreed.
One day when I was talking with someone about Falun Dafa and the persecution, a woman came up and asked, “Do you have an amulet for me?” I said yes and chatted with her. She also agreed to quit the CCP organizations and left happily with an amulet.
These are stories of situations I have experienced. I’m always touched by people’s positive feedback and support after they understand the facts about Dafa. It’s all because of Master’s boundless compassion and the mighty virtue of Falun Dafa.
