(Minghui.org) I began practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. I’m a radiologist and I’d like to share some amazing stories of patients who recovered from their illnesses after reciting the auspicious phrases, “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
Recovery From Late Stage Lung Cancer
On July 22, 2012, a 55-year-old male patient had a lower-back MRI that showed large and small tumors covered his lumbar, sacral, and pelvic bones. Based on my experience, I thought these were bone metastases and the primary lesions were in the lungs. So, I ordered a CT of his lungs. The scan showed he had advanced lung cancer tumors.
I gently explained the situation to him and his wife, who was in tears. Sensing their agony, I told the man, “There is something that can help you.”
His eyes widened and he asked, “What?”
“Falun Dafa.” I said.
“How do I practice it?” he asked.
I said, “In your current situation, you only need to sincerely recite the auspicious phrases, ‘Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ and a miracle may happen. Remember that sincerity is the key to success. Just try it.”
“Alright,” he said.
While I was driving home one day, the man called me. He told me he was completely well now and would visit me in a few days. I was very happy for him.
On October 22, 2012, he walked into our office. He told me when he recited the auspicious phrases, his pain gradually subsided. He was greatly encouraged and kept repeating the words nonstop. His daughter took him to Beijing, where he visited a renowned hospital. He silently recited the words while he rode on the train, in the hotel, and while waiting in the hospital. Each day, he felt better. His appetite improved, his weight went from 135 pounds to 155 pounds. His pain disappeared, and he was able to walk.
His story stunned everyone in our department. His checkup showed no signs of cancer.
Cancer Patient Has a Good Night’s Sleep
A female patient in her 40s who had severe low back pain came to see me. The examination showed that she had cancer cells in her spine, which metastasized from her lungs.
She looked exhausted and was in severe pain. I told her there was a way to alleviate her pain and it wouldn’t cost her anything. She said she was willing to give it a try. I then told her about Falun Dafa and gave her some basic information about the practice. I also told her about the healing power of Dafa and how it is practiced in over 100 countries around the world. I explained why the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Dafa. She listened attentively and agreed to recite the auspicious phrases.
The next day, an elderly woman came looking for me. She told me that I had seen her daughter yesterday and that she slept very well last night. The woman had moved in with her daughter a month ago to care for her, and she read Buddhist scriptures to her every day, but they didn’t alleviate her daughter’s pain or help her sleep. However, reciting the Falun Dafa phrases worked!
She wanted to know more about Falun Dafa. She explained that a neighbor told her about Falun Dafa before, but she didn’t pay attention. Now she was interested. She asked me about the book of Falun Dafa’s teachings ({Zhuan Falun}) and left me her contact information.
Coma Patient Awakens After Family Recites Auspicious Phrases
Years ago, the nephew of my wife’s friend developed viral encephalitis. He was in a coma and was moved to the ICU. After two weeks, he developed fungal pneumonia, and his prognosis was very poor. The doctors said palliative care (manage his symptoms) was all they could do for him. His family was devastated.
I visited his family and told them there was still hope if they did as I suggested. They said they would. I said, “Nowadays, everyone is quitting the CCP and its related organizations to ensure safety. As long as everyone here can do the three withdrawals and sincerely recite, ‘Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ a miracle may happen and his condition might change.
“In today’s society, when Falun Dafa is slandered and persecuted, if you can distinguish right from wrong and have the courage to support Falun Dafa, you will receive blessings.”
Everyone was touched by what I said and quit the CCP and its related organizations. My wife’s friend was excited, “I’m not going to sleep tonight. I will recite the words all night.”
I received a call from her the next afternoon, and she said that her nephew was no longer in a coma.
Her nephew later visited me. He looked good, and his complexion had a healthy glow. He realized that Dafa saved his life and said he was grateful to Dafa and Master.
