Changing Notions and Cultivating Righteously

(Minghui.org) Jia’s home was searched in August 2022, and Yi’s home was searched the next day. Yi’s Falun Dafa books and other items were confiscated. 

The police officers interrogated Yi and asked her how she got the new book Hong Yin VI. She told the police my name since she thought Jia is over 70 years old and she couldn’t tell her name to the police, but she thought I cultivated well and the evil was not able to persecute me.

Our fellow practitioners had different opinions after this incident occurred. Some suggested I hide the books and printers.

Some blamed Yi, “You have been cultivating for over 20 years, but immediately divulged the name of a fellow practitioner...” 

However, when I heard the news, I stayed calm and thought, “Nothing is coincidental. Criticizing each other is what the old forces want. They are persecuting us in the name of helping us. We should follow Master’s arrangement, take the chance to see our shortcomings and catch up as quickly as possible.”

Some fellow practitioners complained about Yi in front of me, and I said, “We shouldn’t complain about each other, but instead, we should tolerate, understand, and support each other.” 

One time, during group study, a fellow practitioner asked me about my point of view regarding Yi’s behavior. 

I said, “If the police ask us how we get the books and materials, we can answer this way with a real compassionate and considerate heart, ‘Sorry, I can’t tell you, because you may participate in the persecution of Dafa practitioners under pressure. Then, you will commit sins, and how will that affect your future? But, if you want to know about Falun Gong, I will gladly tell you all I know.’” 

There were also some fellow practitioners who worried about my safety. They reminded me to be careful of being followed, and utilized by the police. 

I understood and thanked them for their care. But I thought, worries are the thoughts of human beings, not gods, and the attachments and notions of human beings may incur persecution. 

Besides, why did some fellow practitioners believe I cultivate well? Was it because I had attachments of showing off and validating myself, and then left such a superficial impression on fellow practitioners? I know, in fact, I am far off from what is expected by Master at different levels.

After this incident occurred, I didn’t regard it as a tribulation, but as a chance to look inward and improve myself. 

Two men came to my home in the winter of 2017. They said they were from the neighborhood committee. 

Only my daughter-in-law was at home at that time. They found three books of Zhuan Falun on the TV cabinet, and the working color printer which was for making calendars. 

Seeing I was not home, they took photos, called their superior and reported what they saw, then left. My daughter-in-law immediately called me, and asked me to come home soon. 

I reminded myself to stay calm and composed when facing such a big incident. I thought, first, it was their blessing and luck to be able to enter a Dafa practitioner’s home. 

Second, they should admire and revere Dafa practitioners when they see practitioners still engaged in salvation of sentient beings in such difficult situations.

Third, if it was an illusion transformed by Master or righteous gods, wouldn’t it be a joke if I hide or move? Then, I became solid in my mind, and decided to continue doing whatever I should do, holding a firm thought that what I was doing was not wrong.

As a result, a few years passed, and they never came back. I also never found out which neighborhood committee they belonged to. 

Given these two incidents, I enlightened to the following: The stronger our righteous thoughts are and the more considerate we are, the more likely will we resolve all conflicts with compassion. 

All the tribulations (excluding the persecution by the evil) we come across all the tests we pass, are for our achievement in cultivation. If we can change our notions based on the Fa and let go of human attachments, we can improve and the tribulations and tests will mean nothing. 

One time, when I went to the home of a practitioner, I saw her sending righteous thoughts earlier than the set time. I asked her why she sent righteous thoughts as early as 11 a.m.

She said, “We went to see a practitioner who was just released from prison, and her son took photos of us. I am sending righteous thoughts to prevent her son from doing something wrong.” 

I shared with her, “To send righteous thoughts is to eliminate the black hands, rotten demons and communist specters that manipulated her son in other dimensions. Its real purpose is to protect the innocent original nature of him and safeguard sentient beings. 

If our first thought is to think of others, then we are upgrading to higher levels and the evil is being degenerated, and the sentient beings have the hope to be saved.” 

She very much agreed with me.

I feel I have improved quickly within the past year. I constantly had new understandings and made new breakthroughs. 

Sometimes, even when I had just come to understand a Fa principle, Master upgraded me immediately. More and more, I can feel the marvelousness of cultivation. 

I often think about why Master calls us “practitioners”, “disciples”, “Dafa disciples” or “a particle of Dafa.” I realized cultivation is a gradual process, a process to constantly purify ourselves, a process from passively moving forward to actively assimilating to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.

And therefore, it is a process of solid cultivation from being an everyday person to a “practitioner”, and then to a future “enlightened person”. If we can assimilate to the Fa at all times and do the three things well, Master will give us the best.
