(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 3 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 4 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Liu Guifang and Ms. Wu Yuying on Trial
2. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Qu Yanlai Released After Being Imprisoned for Five Years
3. [Tai’an City, Shandong Province] Updates on Ms. Fu Yanli’s Arrest
1. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Liu Guifang and Ms. Wu Yuying on Trial
Ms. Liu Guifang was tried at 10:00 a.m. on November 9, 2023, by the Chengguan District Court in Lanzhou City. She and her attorney entered a not guilty plea. Presiding judge Teng Xiaoqiong did not issue a verdict and declared the court adjourned.
Ms. Wu Yuying was tried at 10:30 a.m. on November 9, 2023, in the Chengguan District Court in Lanzhou City.
2. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Qu Yanlai Released After Being Imprisoned for Five Years
Mr. Qu Yanlai was sentenced to five years in prison by the Ranghulu District Court in August 2019. He was incarcerated in the Hulan Prison. He insisted on his innocence and refused to wear the prison uniform. In retaliation, he was repeatedly put in solitary confinement.
Ms. Qu was released on November 9, 2023.
3. [Tai’an City, Shandong Province] Updates on Ms. Fu Yanli’s Arrest
Ms. Fu Yanli was arrested by officers from the Daiyue District Domestic Security Division and the Zhoudian Police Station on the afternoon of October 26, 2023. She was sent to the city detention center.
Officers used force to open the door to her home. They seized her computers, printers, deposit certificates, legal documents, as well as her daughter’s office items and personal items. They seized her family car, and ransacked her clothing shop. No one from Ms. Fu’s family was present when they ransacked these places.
