(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the Santa Clara Parade of Champions held in downtown Santa Clara, the heart of Silicon Valley, on October 7, 2023. Karen Hardy, a Santa Clara city councilor, said after watching the Tian Guo Marching Band’s performance, “The Falun Dafa contingent was great. I am thrilled to see them. Their musical skills are superb. Falun Dafa practitioners are members of the community.” After learning about the principles of Falun Dafa, Ms. Hardy remarked, “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance – these are what we need in our community. These principles are forever important. Thank you!”
Karen Hardy, a Santa Clara city councilor, said she was delighted to see Falun Dafa practitioners in the parade.
Practitioners delighted parade spectators at the Santa Clara Parade of Champions on October 7, 2023.
The parade commenced at 11 a.m. Members of the Western U.S Tian Guo Marching Band wearing traditional white and blue Chinese uniforms performed songs including “Falun Dafa Is Great.” The vibrant and clear music and their synchronized steps won applause as well as praise from spectators along the parade route.
Anna, the music director of a Portuguese band, said she loved the songs played by the Tian Guo Marching Band.
“It was great, I loved this group,” said Anna Gaspar who is the music director of a Portuguese band that also played in the parade. “Their skills were exceptional. I hope they can come and perform with our band. I think this band is outstanding. They should be the champion. I am proud of them.”
When she learned that Falun Dafa is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, Ms. Gaspar said, “I love these principles. They are beautiful. This is what we all need.”
Elizabeth, a member of another band that participated in the parade, praised the music played by the Tian Guo Marching Band.
Elizabeth Casper who plays the oboe in the Portuguese band also praised the Tian Guo Marching Band. “They are amazing,” she said. “I was stunned. They are indeed astounding. I was delighted to see this group. They’re an impressive band.”
While reading a flier about Falun Dafa, she said, “Wow! Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is beautiful! I absolutely love these principles; they are perfect.”
Ms. Casper praised the music played by the Tian Guo Marching Band and commented, “Their music has a kind of special healing effect. It’s great.”
Local resident Mike said he was a drummer in a school band. He thought that the big drums in the front row of the Tian Guo Marching Band made the group majestic.
Mike proudly took out his mobile phone and showed a photo he took of the Tian Guo Marching Band last year. He said, “They are great; remarkable!”
