Retired Director Changed, “The CCP Isn’t As Good As Falun Gong!”

I followed Master’s requirements to do my job well at work and be considerate of others. As a result, before the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecuted Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa), I was awarded the model worker as a division-head-level civil service official. My workplace was rated as an advanced work unit at both national and provincial levels.

Once, another lower-level staff member, Bin, and I were candidates for a deputy division-head-level position. When the director of the Human Resource Department came to talk to me and asked for my opinion, I remembered that Master Li (Falun Dafa’s founder) told practitioners to “consider others first when taking any action,” (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun) so I recommended Bin. I said, “In terms of academic qualifications, I have a master’s degree, and he has a bachelor's degree; in terms of CCP positions, I am a committee member, and he is an ordinary party member; in terms of age, he is several years older than I. If he is not promoted this time he may never get another opportunity.” The director and staff of the Human Resources Department were surprised when they heard me say that. In the end, Bin was promoted for it. But soon after, I was also promoted to another position.

Given the oppressive behavior by Jiang Zemin’s (former CCP leader) regime everywhere across the country, my workplace often organized employees to criticize Falun Gong in July 1999. Since I went to Beijing to appeal during the April 25th event and went to Tiananmen Square to validate the Fa in July 2000, I was first removed from my division-head level official position, and then removed from the civil servant status. I was transferred to a public institution and demoted to a section-head level. I did not have any resentment toward the people in my original workplace, as I knew that they were the real victims in the persecution.

When I arrived at my new workplace, I first clarified the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong to all the leaders there. I kept in mind Master’s teachings of “Validate the Fa with rationality, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and save people with compassion...” (“Rationality,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress II)

I knew that these leaders usually had a strong tendency to protect themselves, so I normally talked to each of them individually. I also asked them a lot questions and clarified the truth in that way. In the end, the majority of people there were able to recognize the evil nature of the CCP and withdraw from the CCP and its youth organizations.

I later became a technical backbone in the new workplace, and the management assigned me to be a project leader. I followed Master’s requirements and worked hard to do my job well. I participated in more than a dozen projects, and all of them passed the acceptance test of provincial experts. Some projects won provincial and ministerial awards. My technical title was promoted from engineer to senior engineer, and then to principal engineer. Because I never went after fame or personal gain and just focused on doing my job well, I was well respected by my leaders and colleagues.

After the director of my original workplace retired, he organized a fundraising consultation meeting with department leads, asking them to provide some activity funds for retired officials. The relevant leader of my new workplace was out of town, so he sent me to attend the meeting on his behalf. As soon as I entered the conference room, the retired director pointed at me and said, “The CCP isn’t as good as Falun Gong!” There were four or five division-head-level directors and deputy directors present and it was not convenient for me to directly respond to him, so I just smiled at him to show my agreement. He was the top leader in my original workplace, who used to always express his position of “alignment with the CCP Central Committee” at all the meetings and ordered me removed from my position when he was in power. But now he praised Falun Gong in front of his former subordinates. I believe he was able to learn the truth about Falun Gong in his retirement.

Driver, “It Looks Like Falun Gong Is Really Effective!”

Master has asked his disciples “to be a good person, to be an even better person, and to be a good person who transcends the ordinary man.” (“First Fa Teaching Given in the United States,” Collected Teachings Given Around the World, Volume I) I always gave my best effort as I wanted to do my job well, to make my managers less worried, and to help my colleagues whenever they needed me. I looked inside for my own shortcomings when encountering conflicts. Because I truly cultivated my mind, my xinxing improved, and all my illnesses gradually disappeared.

As I have benefited from Dafa, naturally I wanted to share it with everyone, so I always told people the truth about Dafa wherever I went. Master also arranged for me to work in different places, and on the surface, it would look like I was transferred down to work in the grassroots level construction management companies because of the persecution. After arriving at the construction site, I took advantage of my position as a manager to clarify the truth to people in all the different departments, so that people at the grassroots level could choose a bright future for themselves.

In mid-November 2013, it was getting cold but the city-provided heating had not been turned on. Many colleagues came to work wearing a lot of clothes, but some of them still caught a cold. One day, I went to the construction site cafeteria for breakfast. There were more than a dozen people eating there. The project manager’s driver saw that I was wearing very thin clothes and he said loudly, “Look at him. He is not wearing much, yet he doesn’t get sick. It looks like Falun Gong is really effective!”

Rural Father, “Falun Gong Is Great!”

There is a male practitioner in my area who is the third oldest of five siblings. Because he went to Beijing to speak out for Falun Gong, he was sentenced to three years of forced labor by the CCP. After returning home he found out that he had lost his job, and his family’s financial situation was very difficult.

He went to visit his nearly 80-year-old father who lived in the countryside in the early winter of 2013. At night, he felt it was too cold to sleep. He decided to install a stove so the room would be a little warmer. The next day he went to buy a stove and chimney sections. While he was installing them, his niece came and saw him doing the installation. She suggested, “Uncle, if you buy more sections of the chimney, you could make it longer inside, and more heat will be dissipated to make the room warmer.” The fellow practitioner thought to himself, “Of course I know that. But I don’t have much money!” But in the end, he gritted his teeth and bought two more sections.

After the stove was installed, his father slept much more comfortably. The next day, his father said to him, “Your other four siblings are all living better than you.” What he meant was that the fellow practitioner was the only child who thought of him. The fellow practitioner said to his father, “Although I am in the worst financial situation right now, our Master teaches us to cultivate compassion. We should be kind to everyone, let alone our own relatives. This is something I should do, to make you more comfortable. This is also done according to Master’s requirements.”

His father told many people, “Falun Gong is great. My third son has been in a forced labor camp for three years and has lost his job. Among all my children, he is in the most difficult situation. Yet only he installed the stove for me to keep me warm. He is the most filial one. Falun Gong is great!”
