(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shi Shuru Sentenced to Prison
2. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Jing and Ms. Li Xianghong Detained
3. [Heze City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Lijuan Arrested and Detained
4. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Song Shuyan Arrested and Detained
5. [Liuhe County, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Junlan Arrested and Detained
6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Han Xiaomei Arrested
7. [Tianjin] Mr. Gao Tiwen Arrested
8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yang Jiali Released from Brainwashing Center
9. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Su Lixin and Ms. Wu Xiuying Released
1. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shi Shuru Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Shi Shuru from the Ganyu District was arrested on April 11, 2023. She was tried on July 4, 2023. It was learned in August 2023 that Ms. Shi was sentenced to three and a half years in prison.
2. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Jing and Ms. Li Xianghong Detained
Ms. Li Jing and Ms. Li Xianghong from Liquan County have been held in the Qindu District Detention Center for more than a year. Their cases were submitted to the Qindu District Court but have not yet been processed. Judge Wang Zhihui refused to answer any inquiries from Ms. Li’s family or her lawyer.
3. [Heze City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Lijuan Arrested and Detained
Ms. Zhang Lijuan was caught on surveillance cameras when she distributed Falun Dafa informational materials in a residential community. She was arrested at her home by 12 officers from the Wu’an Town Police Station around 7 a.m. on September 19, 2023. They ransacked the place and confiscated a computer, printer, and other personal belongings. Ms. Zhang was taken to the Heze City Detention Center that day. Her family received an arrest warrant on October 1, 2023.
4. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Song Shuyan Arrested and Detained
Ms. Song Shuyan from Jianshe Town in Fumeng County was arrested on the morning of July 21, 2023, because she posted information about Falun Gong online. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to a detention center.
5. [Liuhe County, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Junlan Arrested and Detained
Ms. Li Junlan was arrested by Liuhe County police officers on September 27, 2023. She is being held in the Changliu Detention Center in Tonghua City.
6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Han Xiaomei Arrested
As she was returning home, Ms. Han Xiaomei was arrested in the corridor of her building by Baiju Road Police Station officers on September 8, 2023.
7. [Tianjin] Mr. Gao Tiwen Arrested
Mr. Gao Tiwen from the Dongli District was arrested around October 3, 2023.
8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yang Jiali Released from Brainwashing Center
Ms. Yang Jiali was arrested by Shuita Police Station officers in the first half of this year. Her family had not heard anything about her until her daughter was contacted by the Jianghan District Brainwashing Center in late September 2023 and told to come take her home. Ms. Yang was in terrible shape. Her face was dark gray and her hair had turned white.
9. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Su Lixin and Ms. Wu Xiuying Released
Mr. Su Lixin, 58, was arrested at home in August 2022. He was released on bail pending trial for one year. His case was submitted to the Fumeng County Court in May 2023. He was tried on June 28, 2023, and was released.
Ms. Wu Xiuying from Fumeng County was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong in Naiman Banner, Inner Mongolia, where Ms. Wu’s daughter lives. Ms. Wu was arrested in February 2023 and tried in the Naiman Banner Court on March 15, 2023. It was recently learned that Ms. Wu was released.
