(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Pintong Sentenced to Prison
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Haihong and Her Husband Mr. Tian Zidong Arrested
3. [Gaizhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dai Ruilian Arrested and Detained
4. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Dong Lijuan Arrested and Detained
5. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Baoru Arrested and Detained
6. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yu You Arrested and Detained
7. [Haiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Baoning Arrested
8. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liang Shufa Arrested
9. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zeng Zhaoyuan and Ms. Li Wuju Arrested
10. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
1. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Pintong Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Liu Pintong was arrested by officers from the Jiangjun Police Station when she talked to people about Falun Gong near Oubocheng in Liuhe Street on the morning of February 3, 2023. She was taken to the Nangou Detention Center.
Ms. Liu was recently sentenced to eighteen months in prison by the Shuncheng Court.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Haihong and Her Husband Mr. Tian Zidong Arrested
Ms. Zhang Haihong and her husband Mr. Tian Zidong were arrested at home by officers from the Ziyou Street Police Station on June 14, 2023. The police confiscated more than 10 Falun Gong books and more than 400 yuan imprinted with information about Falun Gong. Ms. Zhang Haihong was taken to the Supervision Center Detention Center on June 15, 2023. Her case was submitted to the Chaoyang District Court on September 14, 2023.
3. [Gaizhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dai Ruilian Arrested and Detained
Ms. Dai Ruilian, 72, was arrested by officers from the Xihai Police Station when she distributed information about Falun Gong in Xihai on September 8, 2023. She is detained in the Yingkou City Detention Center.
4. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Dong Lijuan Arrested and Detained
Ms. Dong Lijuang was reported to police when she talked to people about Falun Gong and she was arrested on July 12, 2023. Her home was ransacked as well as the home of her brother who does not practice. Ms. Dong is currently held in the Baiyun District Detention Center.
5. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Baoru Arrested and Detained
Ms. Wang Baoru from Dehui City was arrested by officers in Baicheng City on July 2, 2023. Her home was ransacked. She has been detained since then.
6. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yu You Arrested and Detained
Mr. Yu You from Qitaihe City was reported to Jixi City police by a spy and was arrested in Jixi City in late August 2023. He is now incarcerated in the Qitaihe City Detention Center.
7. [Haiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Baoning Arrested
Ms. Wang Baoning was arrested on the morning of September 15, 2023. Her home was ransacked.
8. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liang Shufa Arrested
Mr. Liang Shufa was placed under official arrest by the Linghai City Procuratorate on September 13, 2023.
9. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zeng Zhaoyuan and Ms. Li Wuju Arrested
Ms. Li Wuju and Ms. Zeng Zhaoyuan, both around 80, were reported to police and were arrested by officers from the Madao Town Police Station in early September 2023. They were interrogated in the police station and were bailed out by their families that evening.
10. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Three officers from the Xichengqu Police Station in Luannan County went to Mr. Liu Zongyong’s home in Yujialing Village, Bencheng Town, Luannan County on September 4, 2023. They confiscated a wall calendar which had information about Falun Gong.
Three officers from the Sigezhuang Town Police Station in Luannan County, accompanied by a village official, went to the home of Mr. Cai Liankui and Ms. Zhang Xiulan on September 6, 2023. They photographed the couple's home.
