(Minghui.org) Practitioners of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) in Chicago introduced the ancient cultivation practice at iFest Bolingbrook: International Festival of Cultures, which was held in a Chicago suburb on July 16, 2022.
The iFest is a one-day event celebrating cultures from around the world. Attendees could purchase ethnic food, and handmade goods and merchandise. There were also international children’s activities, cultural entertainment, educational booths, and more. The Falun Gong booth was decorated with banners with the practice’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and elegant lotus flowers. Visitors found introductory brochures in different languages, as well as Falun Dafa books and newsletters at the booth.

A continuous stream of people came to learn about Falun Gong. Some asked for information about local exercise sites. Others learned the exercises on the spot. Practitioners also gave paper lotus flowers and bookmarks to the children.
A woman quietly listened to a practitioner’s introduction of the Falun Gong exercises, principles, and benefits, as well why the Chinese Communist Party persecutes the practice. The woman told the practitioner that it seemed like fate for her to learn about Falun Gong. She gave the practitioner a hug.
A woman who worked at a nearby booth told a practitioner that she felt powerful energy when practitioners did the sitting meditation. A festival employee told a practitioner that he had seen a Falun Gong parade in Toronto and was impressed.
