1. [Fusong County, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Changfu and His Wife Ms. Hu Qinglan Arrested

Officers from the Fusong County Domestic Security Division and the Xintunzi Town Police Station broke into Mr. Liu Changfu’s home at 7 p.m. on May 12, 2022. At that time, only Mr. Liu’s wife Ms. Hu Qinglan was at home. They ransacked the place, confiscated all the couple’s Falun Gong books and some personal belongings, and arrested Ms. Hu.

On May 13, Mr. Liu left his son’s home in Songjianghe Town and went out. He never returned. His family did not know when he was arrested. They went to the police station and demanded the couple’s release. The officers refused to tell them where the couple was being held.

The police said that Mr. Liu and his wife Ms. Hu went to Xintunzi Town to post stickers with the words “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” They were caught on surveillance cameras.

2. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Kou Lirong and Ms. Ma Yinhuan Arrested

Ms. Kou Lirong from the Yinlong Residential Community, Chang’an District, was arrested at work by officers from the High-tech Zone Police Department on May 9, 2022. The police said she was arrested because she was hanging Falun Gong banners on the trees before May 1. The officers searched her home but did not find what they were looking for.

At the same time, Ms. Ma Yinhuan was also arrested at home and her home was ransacked.

Cheng Zhenying, who handled both cases at the Huanghe Dadao Police Station, has issued criminal detention notices to their families. He said that the two practitioners would be taken to the Shijiazhuang City No. 2 Detention Center.

It was reported that Ms. Kou and Ms. Ma did not cooperate with the police, made no confessions, and stayed on hunger strikes to protest the persecution. They were taken to the hospital every day for infusions and medical examinations. On May 15, they were still held at the police station. If they pass the nucleic acid test three days in a row, they will be taken to the detention center. The police are drafting up charges in order to keep them in detention.

3. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yufeng Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yufeng from Changbao Township was arrested while distributing Falun Gong materials at the Mangniuying farmers market in Beipiao City around 9:30 a.m. on May 15, 2022.

Around 10:40 a.m. Gacha Village official Cai Shengtian, from Changbao Township, Shuangta District, led four police officers to search Ms. Zhang’s home and took away a calendar, three stickers, and a few amulets.

4. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wu Dexiu Arrested

Several community management staff members knocked on the door of Mr. Wu Dexiu’s rented home in early May 2022 and wanted him to have a nucleic acid test. Mr. Wu did not open the door. They called the landlord, who opened the door with his key. They took Mr. Wu for a nucleic acid test and afterward let him return home.

On May 13, officers arrived in two police cars which they parked downstairs at the building where Mr. Wu lives. They ransacked his home and rummaged through his possessions. Mr. Wu’s current whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ten Practitioners Harassed; Mr. Xu Hengkui Arrested

Around 11 a.m. on May 13, 2022, Director Guo and a police officer from the Ganguantun Town Police Station went to Xu Village. Village official Wang Xingbin led them to Mr. Xing Tongfu’s home. They confiscated all his Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, self-adhesives, printed materials, and tore up a painting that contained the words, “Falun Dafa is good.”

Wang also led the two officers to the homes of Mr. Wang Hongchao and Ms. Ma Fengmei. At Ms. Ma’s home, the officers searched all the rooms and took any Falun Gong materials they saw.

Around 11 a.m. on the same day, Director Guo and other officers, led by Xu Village official Du Xuewen, went to Ms. Chen Qingzhen’s home to photograph her. Then they went to Ms. Chen Lingling’s home. Ms. Chen was not at home at the time. They left after photographing her home.

They also went to the homes of Mr. Wang Dekui and Mr. Xing Tongsheng and photographed them.

On the morning of the same day, Director Guo led seven or eight people to Mr. Xu Hengkui’s home. They confiscated all their printed materials, printers, and took Mr. Xu to the police station. It is not clear where Mr. Xu is currently being held. Ms. Chen Xiumei and Xu Luzhi (gender unknown) from the same village were harassed, and their Falun Gong books were confiscated.

On the afternoon of the same day, Director Guo led seven or eight people to Mr. Zhang Yudong’s home, confiscated his Falun Gong books and printed materials, and planned to arrest him. The village Party secretary intervened and Mr. Zhang was not arrested. He was required to go to the police station twice a day to report, in the morning and in the evening.

6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Multiple Practitioners Harassed

Five police officers from the Buzhuang Town Police Station, Changyi City, went to the homes of six practitioners on March 21, 2022. They asked them questions and photographed them. Practitioners who have been harassed include Yan Aizhi, Wang Yunguo, Yan Guangshan, Yan Bo, Yan Zhe, and Wang Mian.

Officers from the Hanting District Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Zheng Mei’e on May 12, when she was shopping in a store. They went to her home, ransacked the place, and confiscated all her Falun Gong-related items. Ms. Zheng was held until the next day before she returned home. She was forced to pay 10,000 yuan and was released on bail for one year.

Ms. Xiao Xia was also arrested at the same time. All her Falun Gong books were confiscated. She was forced to pay 10,000 yuan and was released on bail for one year. She returned home at 10 p.m. that night.

The officers went to Ms. Song Xiulan’s home and photographed it on May 10. They forced her to fingerprint a pre-written sheet and told her they would follow her wherever she went.

The officers went to Dongyuan Village. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong from Mr. Zhang Huating’s home. They pressured elderly practitioner Du to fingerprint a pre-written sheet. They confiscated all the Falun Gong-related items from Ms. Yang Mingzhen’s home when she was not at home.

7. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Yan and Ms. Liu Arrested

Ms. Li Yan was arrested and her home was ransacked by deputy director Xie Ping of the Tongdong Road Police Station and officers from the Tiefeng District Domestic Security Division on the morning of May 14, 2022. She was forced to pay 1,000 yuan and was released on bail. Elderly Ms. Liu was also arrested at the same time.

8. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qi Jihong Harassed

Wang Yanhong, a staff member of the Hengda Community Management Office, led two police officers to break into Ms. Qi Jihong’s home around 9 a.m. on May 8, 2022. She is in her 80s. They ransacked her home and confiscated three Falun Gong books.

On May 9, they went to her home again. Holding several sheets of paper, they said that because of her old age, they would not detain or fine her, but three books were found in her home and they needed her signature.

9. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yang’s Home Ransacked

Ms. Yang from Hualin Town was reported to the police on the afternoon of May 13, 2022. Officers from the Hualin Police Station ransacked her home around 6 p.m. that day and confiscated all her Falun Gong books and a cell phone.

10. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhou Chunbao Arrested

Mr. Zhou Chunbao, an employee of the Guan County Taxation Bureau, was arrested on May 15, 2022.

11. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Mr. Chen Zhiliang and Ms. Zhang Xiuchun Arrested

Officers from the Weiwan Town and the Kangzhuang Town police stations harassed most practitioners in the area on May 13, 2022. Officers from the Kangzhuang Town Police Station arrested Mr. Chen Zhiliang and Ms. Zhang Xiuchun, and extorted 5,000 yuan and 10,000 yuan from the two practitioners respectively before releasing them.

12. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xie Wanmeng’s Family Not Able to Contact Him in Prison

Since Mr. Xie Wanmeng’s family members last met with him in November 2021, they have lost contact with him for nearly six months. Mr. Xie has not responded to letters sent to him by his family. His family members repeatedly called the Sihui Prison and asked about him, but prison staff members dodged their questions. The prison staff members usually say something like, “His reply to your letters has been sent, and you should just wait for a while.”

13. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Aihua Detained

Ms. Sun Aihua was reported to the police for distributing Falun Gong materials. She was arrested by officers from the Linzi District Domestic Security Division and is being held in the Linzi Hotel.

14. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hang Shizhen Arrested

Officers from the Wanquan Town Police Station broke into Ms. Hang Shizhen’s home and arrested her on the morning of May 16, 2022. They ransacked the place and confiscated her Falun Gong books.

15. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Guimei’s Home Ransacked

Officers from the Xiangjiang Police Station, Dongchangfu District, ransacked Ms. Li Guimei’s home around 11 a.m. on May 13, 2022. They confiscated a computer.
