(Minghui.org) Seven Ninghai County, Zhejiang Province residents were arrested on April 21, 2022, while studying the teaching of Falun Gong together at a private residence.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Dozens of police officers and Lou Rongjun, the head of Ninghai County 610 Office, broke into Ms. Li Yujun’s home at 10 a.m. on April 21. The officers confiscated Ms. Li and her six guests’ Falun Gong books, as well as Ms. Su Caihua’s (one of the guests) 115 yuan in paper currency printed with information about Falun Gong. (Due to strict censorship in China, the practitioners use creative ways to raise awareness about the persecution, including printing information on paper currency.)

All seven practitioners were taken to the Yuelong Police Station. The police returned to Ms. Li’s home in the evening and took away a computer her niece (who doesn’t practice Falun Gong) left there and a hard drive. Ms. Li repeatedly demanded the police provide a list of confiscated items, but they never did.

Another four officers, including Guo Haibo, the head of Yuelong Police Station, went to Ms. Li’s other guest, Ms. Su Caihua’s home in the evening and confiscated the computer of her son (who doesn’t practice Falun Gong), as well as other personal belongings. They refused to provide a confiscation list either.

All practitioners’ families were ordered to pick them up at the police station the next day. The police threatened to detain Ms. Su for 15 days but said they would enforce it two months later.

The police harassed both Ms. Su and Ms. Li on May 6 and 11. The other practitioners had their homes ransacked on May 11.
