Council Member Linda Lee stated in her letter, “It is with great pleasure that I offer my greetings and congratulations on the celebration of the 23rd World Falun Dafa Day, and the 30th Anniversary of the public introduction of Falun Dafa. The practice of Falun Dafa has brought tremendous benefits to communicate across the world as practitioners honor the universal values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance as a guide to daily life.

“Introduced by Mr. Li Hongzhi in May 1992 with over 100 million followers worldwide, Falun Dafa has been noted to help individuals become happier, healthier, and more altruistic through its teachings of meditation and spirituality. During a time when our city grapples with hardships associated with overall mental wellness exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic, the beneficial contributions of Falun Dafa should be celebrated for bringing healthier minds and bodies to uplift the spirits of those partaking in the discipline.”

The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings—which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance—and learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.
