(Minghui.org) May 13 is World Falun Dafa Day and the 30th anniversary of Falun Dafa’s introduction to the world. The mayors of Allen, Cedar Hill, Fairview, Grapevine, Irving, McKinney, and Southlake, Texas, sent proclamations to the Southern US Falun Dafa Association. They proclaimed May 13 as Falun Dafa Day in their cities to recognize Falun Dafa’s contribution to society and their communities.
Proclamation from the city of Allen
Mayor Kenneth Fulk of the City of Allen issued the proclamation, which states, “Falun Dafa is a peaceful self-improvement practice rooted in ancient Chinese culture that centers around the universal principle of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance; and
“the founder of Falun Dafa has helped millions across the world by improving their health and moral values, as well as deepening their understanding of life, humanity, and the universe, through the practice of Falun Dafa; and
“Falun Dafa has affected the lives of more than 100 million people in over 80 countries and has shown the world the value of life and the preciousness of human dignity.”
Proclamation from the City of Cedar Hill
The proclamation from the City of Cedar Hill states, “Since 1995, Mr. Li Hongzhi started to give lectures in the west, including France, Sweden, and United States. Now Falun Dafa’s main book Zhuan Falun has been translated into 40 languages.”
“Falun Dafa practitioners’ determination and courage to stand up to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance while facing severe persecution from the Chinese Communist Party has shown the world the value of life and the preciousness of human dignity.”
