Our Small Fa Study Group
Our small Fa study group was moved from another practitioner’s house to mine in April 2020. Our group of ten are all females, ranging in age from 50 to 89. A practitioner in her 70’s from another village joins us every day.
We go out to clarify the truth in the morning, and study the Fa together from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.. We send forth righteous thoughts four times. We then prepare materials for the next day’s distribution before ending the day together.
Making an Effort to Save People
In February 2020, when the pandemic outbreak occurred, we knew that time was tight. After the lockdown ended, we hurried to make good use of time every day to go out to clarify the truth and save people. We usually traveled by bicycles in groups of two or three.
“Clarifying the facts and saving sentient beings are what you need to accomplish. There is nothing else for you to accomplish. There is nothing else in this world that you need to accomplish.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2015 New York Fa Conference”)
We remembered Master’s teaching. We had visited the surrounding villages countless times and clarified the truth to help people understand Dafa and be saved.
I said to a fellow practitioner, “People living nearby have learned about the truth, but the people further away also need to be saved. We should make an effort to go where there are fewer practitioners, in the villages that are further away from our homes.”
Three of us went to a village further away to clarify the truth. We did not know what village we were in. We asked a woman working in the fields the name of the village we were just visiting. She told us and we realized that we had traveled more than 20 miles. We told her about Dafa and headed out, arriving home thirsty and tired, but safe. Saving people is our biggest wish.
One day, we came to a village where there were eight people chatting in the street. I walked over to talk to them. One woman asked what we were doing. I said, “Let me show you a booklet that teaches people how to stay safe during the pandemic.” Glancing at the booklet, she asked, “You are Falun Dafa?” I replied, “Yes, did you know the ‘Tiananmen self-immolation hoax’ shown on the television was a tool to frame Falun Dafa. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes cultivators; quit the CCP organizations that you have joined before. You vowed to give your life to the Party when you joined its organizations in the past, you are a member of the CCP and you are strengthening its influence. In that way, you will be eliminated together with the Party.” After hearing that, she said, “Oh, what you cultivate is good, and you are saving people. I joined the Young Pioneers, please help me quit it.” The others said that they had never joined any of the CCP organizations, and they all asked for the truth clarifying materials that we had.
I met a woman working in her vegetable garden. I said, “Would you like to have a truth-clarifying booklet? It is to help you avoid the pandemic.” She said, “I don’t want to read. Who doesn’t die?!” I replied, “Some people go to hell after they die while some people go to heaven.” After hearing that, she accepted the booklet. I persuaded her to quit the Young Pioneers. In the end, she even asked for a truth-clarifying amulet.
Once, we finished distributing the materials and were on our way home when we met a woman weeding her grass. We clarified the truth to her and she said, “You come out often. Aren’t you afraid of the heat?” I replied, “Our Master asked us to make good use of the remaining time to save more people. The heat and hardship does not matter. Saving more people is what makes our Master happy!”
We placed the Dafa materials in our bicycle baskets every day, wore our straw hats and sun protection clothing, and went through the big streets and small alleys of different villages, and we have become a pretty site in the villages. When we passed by the nearby villages to clarify the truth, the people who saw us said, “Look, the Falun Dafa practitioners are coming.”
Changing My Notion
I went to the Fa study site one day in April 2020 to discover the words were all blurry. I rubbed my eyes but that did not help. I then went home and looked in the mirror to see if I could see anything in my eyes, but there was nothing there.
This continued for a few days. Everything looked like it was in a fog. I muttered to myself, “Do I have cataracts?” This thought was not correct. I realized that I had treated it as an illness. Wasn’t this a human notion? Why didn’t I treat it as a good thing? After my notions turned around, I felt relaxed and I could see clearly again.
