Additional Persecution News from China – March 12, 2022 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

6. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Jia Hong Arrested and Detained

8. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Huang Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

1. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Qingjie Faces Further Persecution

Mr. Liu Qingjie was expected to be released from the Gongzhulin Prison in Siping City on March 13, 2022. His family received a call from the prison, informing them that Mr. Liu would be handed over to the Yanji City Political and Legal Affairs Committee as soon as he was released.

2. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Jiang Minghui Faces Trial

Mr. Jiang Minghui was scheduled to be tried in the Chengguan District Court around mid-March 2022.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] The Case Against Ms. Wang Jinghui Submitted to the Procuratorate

Ms. Wang Jinghui was reported to police for distributing truth clarifying materials and was arrested by officers from the Beiling Police Station on the afternoon of February 7, 2022. She has been detained in the Shenbei New District Detention Center. Her case has been submitted to the Yuhong District Procuratorate.

4. [Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Zhong Xianwen Sentenced to One Year in Prison

Mr. Zhong Xianwen from Yushui District was arrested in April 2021. He was sentenced to one year in prison and fined 2000 yuan by the Yushui District Court in July 2021. He should be released soon.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Fang Detained

Ms. Chang Fang from Xinyuanli Community, Chaoyang District, was taken to the No.1 Detention Center in Dougezhuang on March 9, 2022.

6. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Jia Hong Arrested and Detained

Ms. Jia Hong was arrested at home by officers from Huaiyang on March 1, 2022. She is currently incarcerated in the No.3 Detention Center of Zhengzhou City.

7. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Five Practitioners Harassed

Three officers from the Louzhangzi Township Police Station in Qinglong County went to Mr. Zhang Qingshu’s home and then Mr. Wang Zhendong’s home on February 8, 2022. They tried to find out who hung up the Falun Gong banners.

Three officers went to Mr. Yao Zhenda’s home on March 1, 2022. This is the 9th time they went to harass Mr. Yao. His wife didn’t let them enter. The three officers then went to Ms. Zhu Cuihua’s home and Ms. Zhai Fengmei’s home. Ms. Zhai and her husband were not at home. The officers confiscated many Falun Gong books and weekly magazines from Ms. Zhai’s home.

8. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Huang Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Ms. Huang was arrested on July 21, 2021, for distributing truth-clarifying materials in the morning fresh market in Guta District. She was later sentenced to three years in prison. She may have been taken to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison.

9. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Yuanqiu Harassed

Ms. Yang Yuanqiu in Yongquan Sub-district of Wenjiang District was harassed at home by officer Li Jin from the Yongquan Police Station and the 610 Office staff on March 11, 2022. She was photographed and her two Falun Gong books were confiscated.

10. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Shuzhen Detained

Ms. Gao Shuzhen from Tangyuan Town is currently detained in the Guan County Detention Center. Her family is not allowed to deposit money for her but is allowed to send her some clothes.

11. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Biying, in her 70s, Ms. Lue Niangniang, and another female practitioner, were arrested in the Chuanzhong Market in early March 2022. The three elderly practitioners were taken to the Xinqiao Town Police Station for interrogation but were released later.
