(Minghui.org) While I was studying the Fa with Ling, another practitioner, Wei, walked in. He appeared to be down and wanted to share about a conflict he was having with another practitioner’s son. I started to make a comment when he turned his attention to me and started yelling. I was shocked by his reaction. How could he be so angry? My comment should not have caused such an outburst, and I wondered where his anger came from.
I reminded him that he was here to share his experience, and there was no reason to be angry. However, his anger escalated: “I know what you said, but I won’t listen to you and that was none of your business.” I stayed calm and patiently waited for him to finish. He went on for 90 minutes. We then completed our Fa study.

Master Li said,

“Nothing is by chance, and there are always two sides to things. An occurrence is meant to either test you or help you. In any case, two sides are involved. Think it over and you will realize that nothing happens by chance.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the New York Fa Conference Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Dafa’s Spreading,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XIV)

Fellow practitioners can be a mirror of myself. I could see the manifestation of my own human attachments, such as looking down on others, resentment, and impatience. I would also like to thank this practitioner for helping me realize those weaknesses. Cultivation is serious, and I must eliminate my shortcomings.

I could have stood up and left, but because I’m a Dafa practitioner, I chose to stay. We should only walk on the path arranged by Master. In the future, I will continue cultivating diligently, listen to other practitioners’ criticism, work together as one body, and become a true Dafa practitioner.
