My Experience Installing NTDTV Satellite Dishes

(Minghui.org) A fellow practitioner brought a set of NTDTV satellite antenna equipment to me and taught me the entire installation process. I learned quickly and began providing the installation service in my local area.

Some practitioners expected to have the NTDTV satellite installed before the holidays so that their relatives could see the Shen Yun performance. I did my best to fulfill those expectations.

Despite such a cold winter in northeastern China, and frozen hands during the installation process, I was full of joy after each installation. But difficulties emerged over time.

I started complaining from time to time, and became unhappy, especially when something impacted my personal interests and time. I tried to stay focused by studying the Fa and did my best to reduce the impact on this Dafa project.

Two ordinary families had NTDTV satellite dishes installed in our local area, which is something that should be cherished. But they did not have a good sense of security.

One of them called my cell phone when the NTDTV signal was not good, which worried me. Looking inward, I realized that as a Dafa practitioner, I should better explain safeguarding phone security in advance.

I went to his house, explained to him calmly to pay attention to safety when using his phone, and he accepted what I said. After that, he didn’t speak about NTDTV directly over the phone.

Another ordinary person, who had NTDTV installed, lived far away from me. One day he asked for some help strengthening the weak signals.

I was busy on a short-term, but profitable project then, and I knew I would lose a few hundred yuan if I stopped working that day to help him. I was conflicted about what to do.

Explaining the situation to a fellow practitioner, he said that a weak signal would be normal given such a rainy season. I thus felt that I found an excuse to put the request aside for a while.

A couple days later, that person called me again in a pleading voice “Please help! I want to watch the news!” At this time, without hesitation I promised to show up at his house the next day.

When I loaded up the maintenance equipment and started the car that morning, a voice from the car's navigation system said to me “I think your views of the world, life, and values are righteous, as well as your character.”

Although this was something the navigation system frequently said, at the time I was still shocked. Wasn’t this Master’s encouragement?

The owner was very happy to see me. After I replaced the malfunctioning part, the NTDTV program came in clear.

However, due to an overall low satellite signal at that time, the resolution wasn’t as good as before. I tried to adjust the angles of the antenna, but it did not help. He was a little disappointed.

Looking inward after the fact, I found many attachments from my cultivation, including seeking personal gain, taking it easy, and lacking compassion.

Although I repeatedly adjusted the angle of the antenna, I was also filled with complaints, and my tone wasn’t as peaceful as it should be. No matter how much adjustment I made on the surface, with a lack of compassion and kindness, how could I validate the Fa?

Through the installation of NTDTV satellite dishes, I have discovered many shortcomings in my cultivation. I will cultivate the Fa diligently and help fulfill Master’s mission of rectifying the Fa and saving sentient beings.
