Additional Persecution News from China – September 19, 2022 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 31 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zeng Qinling and Ms. Tang Xueying Transferred to Changsha Women’s Prison

1. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zeng Qinling and Ms. Tang Xueying Transferred to Changsha Women’s Prison

Ms. Zeng Qinling and Ms. Tang Xueying from Shizhuyuan Community were transferred to Changsha Women’s Prison on September 8, 2022.

On September 16, a group of people from the Suxian District Political and Legal Affairs Committee, Bailutang Town government, and the Shizhuyuan Community Management Office went to several practitioners’ homes and harassed them.

2. [Tongcheng County, Hubei Province] Ms. Fang Sifeng Arrested

Ms. Fang Sifeng was arrested by officers from the Tongcheng County Domestic Security Division and officials from her town and village on September 13, 2022. Her whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Ming Arrested

Mr. Zhang Ming was arrested downstairs at his apartment building on the morning of August 10, 2022, by officers from the Dandong City Police Department’s Domestic Security Division and the Zhanqian Police Station. They were staked out there and followed him for some time. The officers confiscated his Falun Gong books and a recorder. Mr. Zhang was interrogated at the police station.

On the evening of August 10, Mr. Zhang was taken to the Dandong Public Security Hospital for a physical examination. His blood pressure was as high as 200. He was held at the police station overnight. He was taken to the Dandong City Detention Center the next day.

On August 22, Mr. Zhang was officially placed under arrest, and officers from the police station pressured him to sign paperwork. It was reported that the case against him was turned over to the Zhen’an District Procuratorate.

4. [Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qu Yongxia Arrested

Ms. Qu Yongxia from Sunwu County was arrested and her home was ransacked by officers from the Sunwu County Police Department on September 15, 2022.

5. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Case Against Ms. Hu Yuexia Turned Over to Procuratorate

Ms. Hu Yuexia was reported to the police when she talked to people about Falun Gong. She was arrested by officers from the Shangzhuang Town Police Station on May 18, 2022. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong-related items which the officers packed into a large bag. Ms. Hu was later officially placed under arrest by the Luquan District Procuratorate.

Ms. Hu’s case was turned over to the Qiaoxi District Procuratorate on August 28.

6. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Xiufen’s Home Ransacked

After Ms. Li Xiufen’s husband Mr. Zhu Yuhai sent a truth-clarification letter to the police station, he was tracked down by the police through surveillance videos. Officers from the local police station went to his home and arrested him on September 4, 2022. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated more than twelve Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and Falun diagrams. Mr. Zhu was released that afternoon.

7. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Miao Yingqun from Chengguan Town, Changli County, was arrested in the alley leading to her home around 9:40 p.m. on September 12, 2022. She was later released.

Ms. Li Jinhua, 70, from Houmatuo Village, Matuodian Township, Changli County, was arrested at her home by officers from the Changli County Police Department and the Anshan Town Police Station on August 31. She was held in the Qinhuangdao City Detention Center.

Ms. Yang Jinxia, about 50, from Wugezhuang Village was arrested at home by officers from the Changli County Police Department and the Anshan Town Police Station on the morning of August 30. She was held in the Changli Detention Center and was quarantined due to the pandemic.

Mr. Wang Qinghua from Shijiatuo Village, Xinji Town, Changli County, was held in the Funing County Detention Center.

8. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xue Xia and Ms. Xue Shujuan Harassed

Officers from the Facheng Town Police Station in Haiyang City called Ms. Xue Xia’s husband in mid-August 2022 and tricked him into telling them his current address. On the morning of September 15, the director of the police station and an officer knocked on the door of Ms. Xue’s home in the Fengcheng Sub-district and asked her why she did not take a PCR test.

When they learned that Ms. Xue Shujuan was at her home in Lutuoquan Village, Facheng Town, two officers went to her home and asked if she practiced Falun Gong. They tried to photograph her.

9. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Held in Detention Center

Shi Jinrong, Zhou Yan, and Wu Bangjun were arrested by officers from the Fucheng District Police Department. They were following orders given by the Mianyang City Political and Legal Affairs Committee.

10. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] More Than Twelve Practitioners Arrested

Ten practitioners from Shenze County, including He Hongyan, Liu Xiaomiao, Liu Yuru, Jiao Yaqin, Ma Tongxin, Ms. Tian Xuan, and Wen Ge (gender unknown), were held in the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center.

Mr. Du Guofang and Mr. Li Wu were held in the Jinzhou City Detention Center, and Ms. Peng Jingjun was held in the Shenze County Detention Center.

11. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Yanmei Arrested

Ms. Xu Yanmei from Tanjiazhuang Village was arrested by officers from the Lubiao Police Station when she posted stickers that had information about Falun Gong on September 17, 2022.
