(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 32 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Yin Min Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Ms. Yin Min, 31, is a new practitioner in Chaohu City. She was arrested along with two other practitioners by officers in Chaohu City on September 11, 2020. In September 2021, Ms. Yin was sentenced to three years in prison.

2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Shufen Imprisoned

Ms. Yu Shufen from Changle County was transferred to the Shandong Province Women’s Prison in Jinan City on January 4, 2021, after she was detained in the Weifang City Detention Center for two and a half months.

3. [Beijing] 84-year-old Ms. Si Yugui Arrested

Officers from the Xishan Police Station in Haidan District went to Ms. Si Yugui’s home on October 8, 2021, because Ms. Si was seen on the surveillance cameras when she distributed truth clarifying materials on September 30, 2021. The police ransacked her home and confiscated numerous Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder. Ms. Si, 84, was taken to the Xishan Police Station. She was interrogated and was taken to have a physical exam. She was released on bail pending a trial that evening.

Officers from the Tiancun Police Station went to Ms. Si’s home on December 13, 2021, to harass her.

4. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Han Naijun and His Wife Ms. Zhang Yanmei Arrested and Detained

It was recently learned that Mr. Han Naijun and his wife Ms. Zhang Yanmei were arrested and detained in the Yuxin Detention Center in Tongliao City.

5. [Muling City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Gao Pengguang Imprisoned

Mr. Gao Pengguang was sentenced to six years and six months in prison on July 20, 2021. He has been detained in the Bamiantong Detention Center. It was recently learned that he was taken to the Mudanjiang Prison.

6. [Tianjin] Eleven Practitioners Arrested

Plainclothes officers from the Lutai Police Station and the Banqiao Police Station went to Ms. Yang Jinghua’s home around 4 p.m. on January 8, 2022. Five people were arrested including Ms. Yang Jinhua, Ms. Yang Fujing, Ms. Qi Yuying, Ms. Du Yanhong, and Ms. Liu’s sister, and they were taken to the Lutai Police Station. Five other practitioners were arrested the same afternoon including Ms. Han Shuyun, Ms. Chen Yuanhua, Ms. Mo Weiqiu, Ms. Du Yanhong, and Ms. Yu Wenxiu. Their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Li Heqin was arrested by officers from the Lutai Police Station on January 11, 2022. She was released that evening.

It was learned that Ms. Qi Yuying, Ms. Mo Weiqiu, Ms. Yu Wenxiu, Ms. Du Yanhong, and Ms. Chen Yunhua have returned home.

7. [Taian City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Liping Arrested

Three officers from the Taishan District Police Department and the Sanli Police Station, and two staff members from the local community, went to Ms. Zhang Liping’s home. Ms. Zhang, 67, didn’t open the door for them. These people then went to the home of Ms. Zhang’s daughter. When they didn’t find Ms. Zhang at her daughter’s home, they went back to her home. They broke the lock and entered. They ransacked the place and took Ms. Zhang to the Sanli Police Station. Ms. Zhang refused to cooperate with the police and was released the same day.

Ms. Zhang has been arrested and detained many times. She was subjected to two forced labor terms and has been sentenced to four years in prison.

8. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Mr. Xu Derong Harassed

Li Baojun and a person surnamed Gao from the Qinjiatun Town Internet Office went to the home of Mr. Xu Derong’s son on January 12, 2022. They pressured Mr. Xu’s son to sign a guarantee statement on behalf of his father, which he refused.

9. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] The Case Against Ms. Pei Ling Submitted to the Court

The case against Ms. Pei Ling was recently submitted to the Shushan District Court by the Yaohai District Procuratorate.

10. [Beijing] Ms. Zhou Li Arrested

Ms. Zhou Li was recently arrested and detained in the Fushan Detention Center in Yantai City.

11. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhou Guizhen Harassed

Two officers Zhao Fei and Gao from the Xindian Police Station in Xinzheng City went to Ms. Zhou Guizhen’s home in November 2021. They wanted to know Ms. Zhou’s phone number. Ms. Zhou told them that her cell phone was confiscated by officer Yang Jianwei from the Lihe Police Station. Three officers went to Ms. Zhou’s home again later that day. They ransacked her home and confiscated Ms. Zhou’s ID card.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zheng Shuangying Arrested

Ms. Zheng Shuanying was arrested in Huangpo District on January 13, 2022.

13. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ren Yulin Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

Mr. Ren Yulin from Xiangfang District, 56, was arrested at home on April 19, 2021. His home was ransacked and his Falun Gong books were confiscated. He was released on bail pending trial on May 19, 2021. Mr. Ren was later placed under official arrest.

It is now learned that Mr. Ren was sentenced to seven years in prison and is detained in the No.1 Detention Center. He has appealed his case.

14. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Suran Arrested

Officers from the Youyi Street Police Station went to Ms. Liu Suran’s home on January 13, 2022. They directly entered Ms. Liu’s bedroom to conduct the search and photographed the laptop on the desk.

15. [Shenze County, Hebei Province] Mr. Du Guofang Arrested

Mr. Du Guofang from Tiegan Town was arrested at midnight, on January 10, 2022. His home was ransacked. The police confiscated his cell phone, computer, printer, etc. The police went to his food store and garage around 2:30 p.m. on January 12, 2022, and confiscated his Falun Gong books and other personal belongings.

16. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Several officers from the Chengguan Town Police Station went to Ms. Ma Tongxin’s home in Beizhaoba Village, Zhaoba Township, Shenze County between 12 a.m. to 2 a.m. on January 11, 2022. They ransacked her home and confiscated her computer and truth clarifying materials. Ms. Ma was taken to the Chengguan Police Station. Her family member was called to the police station and forced to sign a document but was not allowed to see her.

A large group of officers also went to the home of Mr. Ji Feng and his wife Ms. Jiao Yaqin in Beizhaoba Village around the same time. The couple was arrested and their home was ransacked. Their truth clarifying materials and computer were confiscated. Their family member was also forced to sign a document in the Zhaoba Township Police Station.

17. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhou Jinba Arrested

Officers from the Guangming Police Station in Zhihe Town arrested Mr. Zhou Jinba around 10 a.m. on January 6, 2022. His home was ransacked and his personal belongings were confiscated including his computer, cell phone, Falun Gong books, photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and other items. Mr. Zhou’s current whereabouts are unknown.

18. [Junan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Xiao Mingxia Arrested and Detained

Ms. Xiao Mingxia lives Tugou Village, Shizilu Town. She was arrested in Xiyujiahu Village, Banquan Town by officers from the Banquan Town Police Station on December 22, 2021, for distributing truth clarifying materials. She was detained for 15 days and was released on January 7, 2022.

19. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Qionghua Arrested

Twelve officers from the Jinsha Police Station arrested 59-year-old Ms. Wang Qionghua at her workplace on January 12, 2022. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated numerous Falun Gong books, a media player, Minghui Weekly, etc.

Ms. Wang was taken to the police station and was handcuffed behind her back. She refused to cooperate and was fastened to the concrete floor and not given food or water. She was released around 11:30 p.m. that night.
