My Relatives and Neighbors Are Blessed by Falun Dafa

(Minghui.org) I am 77 years old and I began to practice Falun Dafa over 20 years ago. My daughter lives in Wuhan City and I live about 200 miles away. In the second half of 1995, both my daughter and my son-in-law started to practice Falun Dafa and asked me to practice as well. I felt I didn’t have time as I was busy with my business. For me, it was too difficult since they went to the park to do the exercises at 5 a.m.

My daughter didn’t want to give up on me. She encouraged me to participate in various Dafa activities in Wuhan. A big event was held to introduce people to Falun Dafa. Practitioners wearing exercise clothes formed a pattern, while those who didn’t have them sat on the side. 

I sat on the side, closed my eyes, and meditated. I suddenly heard a round of applause. When I opened my eyes I was very excited to see Master Li’s (Dafa’s founder) Fashen (law body) floating above us in the sun. It was very clear. I also saw colorful clouds in the sky. I was shocked and understood gods and Buddhas are real. This motivated me to begin practicing Falun Dafa diligently. After this event to introduce Falun Dafa many people began practicing it.

Practitioners held a large-scale event in a park in Hanyan to spread the Fa one time. It rained all day and the trees were dripping. We continued meditating. Our clothes were wet, but we didn’t feel cold at all. On the contrary, we felt warm.

Because I personally witnessed how extraordinary Falun Dafa is I started to tell the people in my town about it. Gradually people came to join me in doing the exercises. One day I corrected a new practitioner’s movement during exercise two – Falun standing stance. When I returned to my spot to continue doing the exercise, I saw Master wearing a golden yellow exercise uniform (same as the one in Master's teaching video), standing in front of me and holding a law wheel. I was very happy and this strengthened my confidence in cultivation.

Even though I had practiced for six months I couldn’t meditate with both legs crossed. My son-in-law asked me to buy a tape recorder and video recorder for my brother, who is the local coordinator. I was reluctant and told him that I would buy one when I returned home as it would be cheaper. However, I didn’t buy one.

In the spring of 1996, my daughter and other practitioners came to my town to spread the Fa. I asked her to buy the tape recorder and video recorder for me. I gave 2,500 yuan to my brother’s daughter to pay for the tape and video recorder. The next time I meditated I was able to cross both legs! I really appreciate Master’s boundless compassion.

Using Compassion to Resolve Grievances

When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) first started persecuting Falun Dafa, police officers usually stopped by my neighbor Liu’s home. I didn’t give him any truth clarification materials when I distributed them. He reported me to the police station. The next day, police took me to the county detention center and detained me there for three months.

Afterward, his family had a lot of difficulties. His brother drove into a wall with his motorcycle and was nearly paralyzed. After his niece was beaten on the head she wasn’t normal. Liu himself suffered from prostatitis and frequent bedwetting. His wife had surgery due to uterine fibroids. I knew that they received retribution. Instead of gloating, I felt pity for them because I knew they were misled by the CCP. I wanted to tell them the truth and save them.

One day, Liu’s mother went to visit his niece. I sympathized with Liu and said, “Your mom’s life is not easy. At her age, she still needs to worry about so many things.” Liu was very sad and complained that so many unfortunate things happened to his family.

First, I talked to Liu’s wife about Dafa. I told her that my daughter-in-law believes Dafa is good, so everything went well. Because she witnessed this she agreed. Both she and her son immediately quit the CCP’s youth organizations. I gave them Falun Dafa keepsakes and her son took the amulet with him when he looked for work and everything went smoothly.

Later, with his wife’s help, I helped Liu quit the CCP. His life took a positive turn. He was promoted to team leader and later helped me.

When the local police called him to monitor me and make sure I didn’t go to Beijing, he told them that I was busy with my farm work and had no time to go anywhere. The county 610 Office occasionally phoned Liu and asked about me, but he always said I wasn’t doing anything.

Liu was later promoted to the village secretary and protected me. Once, when I was returning home after distributing truth-clarification materials he saw me and gave me a ride home. My son-in-law said Liu was in charge of everything in the village. Whatever he wanted to do, such as road construction or the village office project, he immediately got the funds. Last year, he got 100,000 yuan to make the village a local tourist spot. The villagers are all very happy.

My Son Is Blessed After Understanding the Truth

I had just given birth to my son when a fortune teller said that my husband and I were ill-matched according to the traditional Chinese belief about the Five Elements. My mother-in-law decided that we should divorce.

With such a blow, I was suddenly in a state of chaos and darkness. I was still nursing my infant son. I went to my parents’ home. After he was weaned, my son was sent to my ex-husband’s home. I later married a widowed man. My husband had three young sons when we got married. Later we had two daughters.

I kept in touch with my son. After I began practicing Falun Dafa I often visited his family. In the early days of the CCP’s persecution my son was the deputy secretary of the village and thus was in charge of persecuting practitioners. At that time, my eldest adopted son was a private teacher and often appealed for their benefits. These private teachers were also targeted by the CCP. My son was in charge of that matter as well, and he was under pressure from upper-level management. He felt helpless since he knew Falun Dafa was good and he understood these private teachers’ hardship. Under the pressure from the upper level, he sometimes said some things not respectful to Falun Dafa and wouldn’t listen to me.

Later, the village secretary was dismissed for some reason and my son became the next target. My son was frightened as he knew very well how horrible the CCP is. I comforted him and asked him to say, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” This time my son listened and sincerely recited it every day. Master helped him.

After my son resigned from his position voluntarily, he became a manager in his half-brother’s real estate company. He was more relaxed and made more money than in his old job. A few years later, he bought a new house for his son, spending over one million yuan for remodeling, and bought the furniture and appliances as well. He also bought a car for his son for 300,000 yuan.

My son is also very happy about another thing. His son married a gentle and virtuous woman. These are some examples of the blessings he received. He thanked Master for blessing his whole family.
