(Minghui.org) Six Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province residents have been detained at Liaoyang City Detention Center since December 8, 2021 for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

A group of officers from Wensheng Police Station and Liaoyang City Domestic Security Office followed Mr. Zhao Juncheng and his wife Ms. Bao Fengzhi on December 8, 2021. The officers later broke into the couple’s home and arrested them and their four guests, Ms. Li Ying, 55, Ms. Cui Rong, in her 40s, Mr. Li Peixin from the nearby Anshan City, and another practitioner from out-of-town.

The police ransacked the couple’s home and confiscated their Falun Gong books, computer and printer. The police brought Ms. Li back home in the afternoon to search her place. They kept her handcuffed all the time. Her Falun Gong books and photo of Falun Gong’s founder were taken away. Ms. Cui’s home was also raided. But as her husband was working out of town and her child was attending college, it’s not clear what items were confiscated from her.

The police found out about Mr. Li’s address after confiscating his ID. At around 8 p.m., over 20 police officers ransacked his home and confiscated his 44 Falun Gong books, a computer and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder. Just for looking at a tall officer, he was slapped in the face twice. He was also brutally beaten for refusing to let the police collect his fingerprint. He is still having pain in his ribs and swelling in his legs from the beating.

The sixth practitioner from out-of-town refused to cooperate with the police in revealing his or her name and is holding a hunger strike to protest the persecution.
