(Minghui.org) After the persecution of Falun Dafa began on July 20, 1999, I refused to give up my belief and was consequently laid off from my job. To make a living, I had to work at different places.

When I heard that a new factory nearby was about to start production and was looking for skilled workers, I went to apply for a job. When I found the plant manager, it turned out that he had been the workshop director at the factory where I used to work. He had retired but then gone back to work as the manager of this new facility. I was quite happy to see that it was an acquaintance, so I explained the reason for my visit.

He said, “You can have the job, but you must stop practicing Falun Dafa.”

Just as I was trying to explain that I shouldn’t be targeted for my faith, the factory owner and his friend walked in. The manager introduced me to the owner and told him that I practiced Falun Dafa.

Surprisingly, the owner told the manager, “Keep her. I like to hire people who have faith.” It turned out that the owner had hired a Dafa practitioner to work in his other factory. That practitioner did an excellent job and the owner really appreciated him.

I was hired on the spot and started work the next day.

To clear up the factory manager’s misunderstandings about Dafa, I took the work very seriously. I was conscientious, meticulous, and responsible and met the requirements for all the guidelines. I also took the time to clean the workstation, the machinery, and the surrounding area.

Protecting Me Despite the Risk

One day, the factory manager told me I was being reassigned to the old plant but in the same position (because the old factory was built many years ago, the conditions were not as ideal). I was a little surprised but agreed immediately.

After a while, the owner visited the old plant and asked me, “Do you know why we moved you here?”

When I said I didn’t, he explained, “Someone in the village reported that you were telling him about Falun Dafa. The village director threatened me that if I do not fire you, he would call the police. I told him that I would handle it myself. That is why I moved you here.”

“This Is the Least I Can Do for You”

I was still arrested later on and given one year of forced labor. The police had injured my neck and back when they beat me, so the labor camp refused to admit me and I was released.

The owner conveyed this message to me through the manager: “Do not worry. Take your time to get well. You may return to work when you recover.”

When I returned, I thanked him for his understanding and support.

“This is the least I can do for you. After they took you away, the head of the local 610 Office came in and asked me to arrange for his relative to work in my factory. I turned him down.”

The owner hired temporary workers to fill my position and kept the post for me. As time went on, most of those who worked in this factory understood the truth about Falun Dafa and withdrew from the Chinese Communist Party and its related organizations.

The owner of the factory was blessed for his positive understanding and for protecting a practitioner who was treated unjustly. He recovered the nearly 10 million yuan he invested in the factory in less than a year. His business has been growing in a balanced way and production has been steady.
