Boston: Practitioners Hold Activities to Mark 22 Years of Resisting the Persecution

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held activities at Copley Square in Boston on July 11, 2021 to mark their 22-year-long journey of resisting the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. 

Practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Dafa exercises and displayed truth-clarification posters to raise awareness of the persecution. The activity attracted many local residents, and some wanted to learn to practice the Falun Dafa exercises.

After observing the Falun Dafa exercises Naman Jaim, an Indian immigrant, said he also wanted to learn the five sets of exercises so that he could experience that type of peace and quiet on a daily basis. 

Jan, a Boston resident, expressed a lot of interest in Falun Dafa. After hearing that Falun Dafa is a high-level spiritual practice, she started to learn the exercises. She attended a Falun Dafa introductory class later the same afternoon and started attending a nine-day lecture class in the evening. 

A mother, her two young girls, and the girls' paternal grandmother, wanted to learn the exercises on the spot. The family, originally from the United Arab Emirates, now live in Massachusetts. The two girls, a twelve-year-old and a nine-year-old, were especially interested in traditional culture. They expressed their gratitude to a practitioner for patiently teaching them the exercises and told her that they had learned a lot and will share the information with their friends.

Son Tran from Vietnam was fascinated by the sight of Falun Dafa practitioners demonstrating the exercises. He learned how to do the meditation and said: “I am unable to understand why the CCP is persecuting a cultivation practice that benefits people’s health and emits out great energy!” 

He also said: “I know that the CCP is very strict on its people and would always use violence to have people obey them. However, the CCP should not deprive people of religious freedom.”

Bort Duzonk, a local resident, condemned the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa. He said that Falun Dafa practitioners have not harmed anyone, so the CCP has no excuse to persecute practitioners.
