(Minghui.org) A Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province resident was arrested on December 24, 2020, while visiting her mother in Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province. Ms. Jiang Li was targeted for her faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Jiang, in her 40s, was taken back to Taiyuan on the day of her arrest and has been held at the Taiyuan Detention Center since.
It’s reported that she has been indicted and her case has been moved to the Wanbolin District Court in Taiyuan. The judge is trying to dismiss the lawyer that Ms. Jiang’s family had hired for her, while the detention center is blocking the lawyer from visiting her.
Ms. Jiang’s arrest dealt her mother a heavy blow. She lived in tremendous distress in the past few months and suddenly passed away recently.
