(Minghui.org) Seven residents of Wuhan City, Hubei Province, including four in their 70s and 80s, were arrested on March 11, 2021 for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Zhou Yuying, 83, Ms. Liang, 76, Ms. Liu, 71, Mr. Xu, 70, Ms. Tang Lihua, 66, Ms. Yu Shifang, 57, and Ms. Tong Li, around 43, were studying Falun Gong teachings at Ms. Zhou’s home, when a police officer suddenly broke in after cutting through Ms. Zhou’s window security bars.

The officer opened the door and let in other officers. The police arrested all of the practitioners present and took them to the Dongting Police Station. The practitioners were interrogated and had their photos, blood samples, fingerprints and footprints taken.

While the practitioners were at the police station, the police ransacked Ms. Zhou’s home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, computer, photo of Falun Gong’s founder, media player and Falun Gong related materials.

Ms. Liang and Mr. Xu were released on the evening of March 12. Ms. Yu and Ms. Tang were released on bail due to their health conditions. The other three practitioners were kept in custody. It’s not clear where they are detained at the time of writing.

Now the police still stay outside of Ms. Zhou’s apartment in an attempt to arrest practitioners who may come to visit her.
