It’s Time to Rectify Ourselves - My Understanding After Reading Master’s Article “Wake Up”

(Minghui.org) I was shocked the first time I read Master’s new article, “Wake Up.” I kept re-reading it, and I gradually memorized it. Each time I read it, I deeply feel Master’s great compassion. Master’s words correct me again and again and remind me not to forget my mission. Even at these last moments, Master is still giving us an opportunity to do well so that we will have no regrets.

Each time I read Master’s words, I reflect on my cultivation. Have I been distracted by emotions? Was I able to always place fulfilling my vows as the priority? Has my faith in Master and the Fa always been unshakable? Have I fundamentally changed my human thinking and handled myself as a practitioner at all times? Have I been disturbed by the various phenomena in human society or was I moved by changes in the world’s politics?

Although some examples that Master gave may not seem to apply to many of us, when I looked inward, I realized there are many factors that we need to cultivate. What Master says are layers of the Fa’s principles, and layers of the realms and standards of the universe.

Master said,

“The old universe is what it is; let it be. Your responsibility is to rescue and deliver lives to the new universe.” (“Wake Up”)

When I memorized this part, my thoughts were once again elevated.

I am a veteran practitioner. I appealed for Dafa at the beginning of the persecution, and participated in the establishment of the first truth-clarification material production site in our region. I’ve been illegally detained and sentenced, and filed a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) who initiated this egregious persecution.

Like every practitioner, I’ve had bumps and bruises along the way, and there were thorns and hazards everywhere.

Many times I’ve slacked off, been confused, and I’ve failed to pass tests. For all of us, however, our cultivation journey is intertwined with saving people. Every challenge we experienced while participating in truth clarification efforts has been an opportunity to rectify ourselves and assimilate to the Fa’s principles.

We are cultivating while doing the three things, but our human notions, selfishness and ego are deeply hidden. The ability to shed this human shell is the distinction between a human and a divine being. When it comes to the critical moment, facing those issues that test whether we can view an issue with the divine side, many of us still fail to pass or fall short of the standard.

We are not heroes among ordinary people. We are practitioners, and Dafa disciples who are moving from being human to being divine. No matter how much we have done, we must meet the standard in our firm belief in Master and the Fa. We can’t save people with our attachments. Only by rectifying ourselves and truly eliminating our deeply hidden fundamental attachments, will we have more power to save people, because our divine side will come to the forefront.

If we can all realize this, more sentient beings will be saved by our powerful righteous thoughts. All practitioners are one body, and each of us must add pure righteous thoughts to the whole. If you haven’t done well, please hurry and catch up, eliminate your human thinking and rectify yourself.

Let’s cooperate and work together so that we can save more lives. Let’s cherish every second during this last precious transition time from Fa-rectification to Fa’s rectification of the human world! Let’s strive forward together diligently, save more people, and fulfill our vows!
