(Minghui.org) I am a 73-year-old woman living in a rural area. I began practicing Falun Dafa in 1998.
Before I started cultivating, within less than a month, I had become unable to move my head, shoulder, and right hand.
My husband told me that there were people living in the nearby town practicing Falun Dafa, and I heard that it had miraculous effects in improving one's health.
I thought that no matter how good a specific qigong practice was, I wouldn’t have time to learn.
There was still no sign of recovery eight or nine days later. At that time, I ran a business, worked in the field, raised pigs, did housework, and took care of our children. I was very worried and wondered what I should do.
I then thought of Falun Dafa and its purported health benefits. I hadn’t started to learn yet, but knew how to perform a Buddha hand sign (mudra).
I sat on a bed with my hands conjoined and thought about trying Falun Dafa. I had just one thought, then I felt a force pushing my right hand so hard that even my bones made noises. Soon, my hands started swinging back and forth, and this repeated three times. The same thing happened continuously for three nights.
After the third night, my shoulder was fine, and my head could move. I then felt my wrist being stretched three times. It was then fine after three consecutive nights of this.
Later, all the joints of my fingers and a tendon in my back were being stretched. I also felt my head being pushed towards the left and then the right, then forward and backward.
At that time, the skin and tendons in my back were stretched so much that I felt they were like a slate. The sensation was very uncomfortable. My head was then pushed to move upwards and downwards, then towards the left and down again.
My mouth was even moved to open and close repeatedly. The whole process took 18 days. Then, all my ailments were gone!
Only after I started practicing Falun Dafa did I realize that Master Li had started cleansing my body in advance.
There were once three large bumps on my neck that grew together. I knew it was a cultivator’s karma elimination, and I didn’t consider it a sickness. A few months later, the bumps disappeared completely without any treatment.
The most serious incident happened in 2015. I didn’t want to eat anything and was hungry and emaciated for over a month. The people around me didn’t dare look at me. I even passed out twice.
I was almost 70 years old at the time and didn’t care about death. I later corrected my thinking and realized that I was a Dafa practitioner and couldn’t die, as I hadn’t yet fulfilled my mission.
I knew I should cultivate well and follow Master to return home. My niece (also a practitioner) asked me to go home with her. She said there were many practitioners nearby who might be able to help. I stayed there for six days but my status didn’t improve.
My son then asked me to go to a hospital for a check-up. When I left my niece’s home, I said to him, “Look at me. I can’t even stand. I know there will be many tests and check-ups. I will suffer a lot. Won’t the doctors also die? I am a Dafa practitioner and have Master to take care of me.”
Just because of these righteous thoughts, I gradually became able to eat when I returned home. I became more energetic, and the dead skin on my body started falling off layer by layer.
A new layer of fresh skin then grew. But even four months later, I still felt numbness throughout my body and had no energy. I couldn’t even see one vein beneath my skin, nor could I stand to do the second exercise. A fellow practitioner encouraged me by citing Master’s words,
“When it’s difficult to endure, you can endure it. When it’s impossible to do, you can do it.” (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun)
I couldn’t eat, but the practitioner said that I must eat. Under her unselfish guidance, my condition improved, and I finally passed this tribulation.
I know it was Master who gave me a second life!
