Additional Persecution News from China – May 24, 2020 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in eight provinces, where at least 22 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tang Lirong Under House Arrest
2. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Changsheng and Mr. Li Ming’s Homes Ransacked

7. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yao Xinren in a Coma
8. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Persecution Against Eight Practitioners
9. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Three Practitioners Arrested, Ms. Di Yanan Tried
10. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Meng Fanyi Detained
11. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhou Yuelian Arrested

1. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tang Lirong Under House Arrest

Mr. Tang Lirong was arrested at work by officers from the Criminal Brigade and the Kaijianglu Police Station on the morning of April 2, 2020. He was handcuffed and his home was ransacked. Falun Gong books, computers, and other personal belongings were confiscated. Mr. Tang is now under house arrest.

2. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Changsheng and Mr. Li Ming’s Homes Ransacked

Mr. Li Changsheng and Mr. Li Ming from Longwangzhuang Town, Laiyang City had their homes ransacked by officers from Longwangzhuang on May 22, 2020. Their Falun Gong books and audio players were confiscated.

3. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Arrested

Ms. Sun, in her seventies, is a retiree of the Oil and Gas Transportation Corp. in the Shengli Oil Field, was arrested on the morning of May 19, 2020. Her home was ransacked.

4. [Beijing] Mr. Ma Guoxin’s Case Passed to Procuratorate

Mr. Ma Guoxin from the Yanshan area was arrested by officers from the Yingfeng Police Station on April 22, 2019. He was held in the Fangshan District No. 1 Detention Center for more than 30 days before being released on bail.

His case was submitted to the Fangshan Procuratorate by officer Cui Jianghua on May 22, 2020.

5. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhang Fengqin Detained

Ms. Zhang Fengqin from the Pudong District was arrested by officers from the Wanggang Police Station on June 19, 2019. She was taken to the Pudong Detention Center.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Guizhi Arrested

Ms. Li Guizhi was arrested by officers from the Kuanpingdalu Police Station on May 22, 2020. She was released on bail.

7. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yao Xinren in a Coma

Ms. Yao Xinren has been held in the Longkou City Detention Center for over a month. She had a stroke in late April 2020, and was taken to the emergency room of Longkou People's Hospital. She has been in a coma since then.

8. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Persecution Against Eight Practitioners

Ms. Zhao Yaning from Anguo City had her computers and Falun Gong books confiscated by officers from the Anguo Domestic Security Division on the evening of May 22, 2020.

Mr. Xiao Xiangyu and Ms. Jiang Feng were arrested and taken to the Baoding Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Li, Ms. Yuan Li, Ms. Jin Huijuan, Ms. Zhao Yaning, and Ms. Jin’s son became were forced to leave home to avoid further persecution.

9. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Three Practitioners Arrested, Ms. Di Yanan Tried

Mr. Yin Bin from the Yaohai District was arrested by officers from the Qilitang Police Station and neighborhood personnel on the evening of May 18, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong fliers. His computers and printers were confiscated.

Ms. Zhang Lanping was arrested by officers from the Baohe District and Binhu Police Station on the morning of May 22. She was released later that night.

Ms. Tang Juzhang was arrested by officers from the Hebei City Police Station and neighborhood personnel on May 22. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Di Yanan, 60, from the Luyang District was arrested by officers from the Jinggang Police Station in October 2018 for distributing Falun Gong fliers. She is being held in the Hefei Women's Detention Center, and was tried on May 26, 2020.

10. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Meng Fanyi Detained

Mr. Meng Fanyi, who works for the Qilu Petrochemical Corp., was arrested, and his home was ransacked. He was detained for ten days.

11. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhou Yuelian Arrested

Ms. Zhou Yuelian was arrested by officers from the Peili Police Station on the afternoon of May 14, 2020, after someone reported her talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her Falun Gong books and other personal belongings were confiscated.
