(Minghui.org) The March 5 notice calling for submissions to commemorate World Falun Dafa Day 2020 is approaching the deadline. However, many practitioners still have not written anything, claiming that they “don’t know how to write.” I hope my experience in writing a sharing article can be of some help.

I am nearly 70 years old and type very slowly. My first thought after seeing the notice was that opportunities like this are going to be fewer and fewer, so I should start right away.

I was not satisfied with the article I wrote but didn’t think I could make it any better. Then I asked myself why I wrote it.

Was I merely completing a task? The answer was no. Did I want my article to be published? I looked inward and sensed that I was simply participating, that I had no attachment to having it published.

Then I realized that the real reason I wrote it was to thank Master Li and validate the Fa by recording the many incidents we had encountered.

I then recalled the many times Master had protected me and Dafa and shown me the mighty power of Dafa. I kept typing until close to midnight, missed lunch, but wasn’t hungry.

The next day, I revised the article several times until I was satisfied.

I went from having nothing to write to having too much. What made the difference? The first time I was thinking about beautiful sentences and perfect grammar. My writing had no real substance, just pretty words. For my second effort, I wrote down what I had been through to validate the Fa.

A 60-year-old practitioner with only a few years of elementary school and her Chinese Pinyin long forgotten has participated in every call for submissions. She said, “I am doing what Master told me to do.” She wrote her own stories. Another practitioner entered the article into the computer and submitted it to the Minghui website. She didn’t expect it, but one of her articles got published.

Fellow practitioners, let’s cherish this opportunity by writing down and sharing with each other what we had been through – instances where the Fa has manifested its beauty and extraordinary power.
