(Minghui.org) I went to visit a village to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa last summer, where I met two elderly ladies. They looked capable and confident, so I started to introduce Falun Dafa. One of them refused to listen and turned her back to me, and the other one seemed to be interested and listened. We continued the conversation and she told me her impression of Dafa.
Dafa Practitioner's Good Deeds Leave a Good Impression
“I know that Falun Dafa practitioners are good people,” the lady began. “There are eight Falun Gong practitioners in our village. At the beginning, we had a bad impression of Falun Dafa, because we were poisoned by the propaganda from the China Communist Party (CCP), and thought that Falun Dafa practitioners were just as described on television (TV).
Later, the son of the village party secretary was diagnosed with severe diabetes. The village was very poor, including the village party secretary. He had no money for treating his son’s illness. He attempted to borrow money from the village government but wasn’t successful. With no way out, he had to look for unconventional treatments for his son. When village practitioners heard about it, each contributed 200 yuan to treat his son. The village party secretary was moved by their act, and said repeatedly that they were good people.
Gradually, through their words and actions, we all learned that Falun Dafa practitioners would not self-immolate, that they were not like what was said on TV, and that they are indeed, good people. They cleared the village roads of snow, including the village committee compound. They also repaired the road when needed. They are there to help people when there is a need,
As a result, the village party secretary, who used to cooperate with the authorities to arrest Dafa practitioners, has stopped persecuting Falun Dafa. Instead, he and his entire family quit the CCP and its youth organizations. Now, everyone in the village knows that Dafa is good and protects Dafa practitioners. The village party secretary has quit his party job, because he no longer wants to risk his life for the CCP. The evil CCP is harmful to people, and Dafa saves people.
Her words changed the other lady's mind, and she quit the CCP. I was also inspired by the practitioner’s efforts. I respected village practitioners. I am honored and proud to have such fellow practitioners.
