(Minghui.org) A Beijing resident in her 60s has been repeatedly harassed in the past five months for her faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Fan Jirong was first arrested on May 26, 2020 at home. The police confiscated her desktop, tablet, and 4,000 yuan worth of banknotes printed with information about Falun Gong.
With strict information censorship in China, many Falun Gong practitioners are using special ways to spread information about their faith, including printing messages on banknotes.
The police forcibly took Ms. Fan to the hospital, drew her blood and measured her height and weight. Her arm was injured by the police and covered with bruises.
In the evening, Ms. Fan was interrogated in the police station. The police attempted to force her to sign the interrogation record. She wrote “Falun Dafa is good” instead.
The police then brought Ms. Fan to the Changping Detention Center, only to have her rejected admission due to high blood pressure and other health conditions. She was then released on bail.
The police harassed Ms. Fan two more times at home, on July 13 and September 18, respectively. They have also made several harassing phone calls to her.
