Resolve Cultivation Issues Through Cultivation, Company Issues Through the Company

(Minghui.org) Master Li Hongzhi taught us that Falun Dafa cultivation is solely about cultivating xinxing and compassion, and that we take a “great way without form.” (Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Singapore). Master also said, “we don’t have any tangible form of organization, nor do we keep money or property.” (Teaching the Fa at the Assistants’ Fa Conference in Changchun)

Master's teachings have opened a most convenient way for cultivators in modern society, with money and property completely separated from Falun Dafa, but without cultivators having to become monks or go into the mountains. The entire society is our cultivation environment. We follow the Fa principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to cultivate our mind and body. We encourage each other to “Compare in studying, compare in cultivating” (“Solid Cultivation,” Hong Yin) and to elevate our realms.

However, since the Chinese Communist Party began its all-out persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, Dafa disciples and practitioners have launched many projects and companies to counter the persecution and clarify the truth. These tangible projects and companies involve money and property, as well as job positions and division of responsibilities; they have thus become a touchstone for many people. We have people who contribute selflessly, but also those who seek fame and gain. Some dedicate themselves to saving sentient beings, while others look on from the sidelines and make comments and judgments. While some persevere in overcoming obstacles and moving forward, we also have those who ride on others' coattails and only seek self-satisfaction. Some continuously cultivate themselves and remove human notions and attachments, and they are thus able to clarify the truth more solidly; some have been obstructed by various habits and notions developed in ordinary society and unfortunately caused negative impact on Dafa and projects at various levels. There are too many cases to list here.

Recent conflicts that have occurred at the Epoch Times and other projects are not coincidental. This is the same both inside and outside mainland China. As long as one is in ordinary society, different strata of society have their own societal conflicts, work environments have work conflicts, and family environments have family conflicts that one needs to face. When a conflict occurs, for a practitioner who sees or hears the people and events involved, it is an opportunity to cultivate oneself more solidly and to elevate oneself. Dafa disciples who study the Fa well and truly cultivate themselves know deeply what a Dafa disciple is: it is not a self-proclaimed title; rather, it is achieved through solid cultivation within the Fa and through suffering, taking on responsibility, and tempering one’s heart on the path toward the selflessness required by the new cosmos. We trust that, in the face of conflict, Dafa disciples who truly cultivate will examine themselves and look within for shortcomings in order to better produce a positive impact.

We hope that going forward, in both projects and Dafa disciples’ companies, one will no longer pressure or judge others based on unilateral views and by “passing on” how Master acknowledges oneself while shirking responsibility for the major consequences. We hope everyone will base their actions on selfless, compassionate thoughts, not be attached to their own notions, resolve problems that come up in cultivation through cultivation, and resolve company problems through the company.
