Additional Persecution News from China – March 1, 2018 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 14 were illegally arrested.

1. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Taken Into Custody

Mr. Xu Bin and his wife Ms. Shi Zhongxian were arrested at their apartment building on the afternoon of February 28, 2018, by officers from the Daqing City Domestic Security Division and the Chengfeng Police Department. Ms. Wang Fajuan was also arrested with the couple.

The three practitioners are held in the police department for interrogation.

2. [Zhumadian City, Henan Province] Ms. Liang Xueping Arrested

Practitioner Ms. Liang Xueping was arrested by officers from the Zhumadian City Domestic Security Division on February 24, 2018 for telling people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked by Yu Xinzhan and other officers.

3. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiang Tieren Detained

Officers from the Peiying Police Station broke into Mr. Jiang Tieren's home and arrested him on the afternoon of February 28, 2018. He was to be detained for five days, and fined 500 yuan.

4. [Chongqing] Ms. Cao Chengying Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Cao Chengying was arrested and taken to the Geleshan Brainwashing Center on February 24, 2018.

5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wu Zhenzhu and Ms. Tong Julan Arrested

Ms. Wu Zhenzhu and Ms. Tong Julan from Zhucheng Street, Xinzhou District, were arrested at home by officers from the Zhucheng Police Station and the Domestic Security Division on the morning of February 28, 2018. The officers ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and weekly publications.

6. [Xiangfan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhao Guojiang Given a Four-Year-and-Six-Month Prison Term

Mr. Zhao Guojiang was given a four-year-and-six-month prison term. He was taken to the Xiangnan Prison, but officials refused to accept him. He was then taken to the Fanjiatai Prison, where he was not accepted after he failed the physical examination. He is being held in the No. 2 Detention Center.

7. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. He Yuanchao Detained

Mr. He Yuanchao from Xiangfu Town, Qingbaijiang District, was arrested at home by two plainclothes officers from the Xiangfu Town Police Station on the afternoon of February 27, 2018. He is being held in the Qingbaijiang Detention Center.

8. [Wuwei City, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Linxiang Arrested

Ms. Li Linxiang from Guoyuan Village, Hongxiang Town, was arrested by five or six officers from the Liangzhou District Domestic Security Division and the Hongxiang Police Station on the morning of February 27, 2018. The officers confiscated Zhuan Falun and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

She was taken to the Wuwei Detention Center, where she was not admitted. She was taken home that evening.

9. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Zhi Officially Arrested

Mr. Zhang Zhi was arrested for telling people about Falun Gong. He has been officially arrested.

10. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhan Min and Ms. Huang Wenying Arrested

Ms. Zhan Min and Ms. Huang Wenying were arrested by patrol officers on the morning of February 22, 2018. They were taken to the Wujin Police Station, where they were interrogated, photographed, and videotaped. The officers confiscated items they carried with them.

Both practitioners returned home around 2:00 p.m. that day.

11. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Hongyu Detained

Ms. Zhang Hongyu was intercepted at a security checkpoint at the train ticket lobby on February 12, 2018 for carrying paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them. Subsequently, she was searched by officers from the Taiyuan Railway Police Department. She is being held in the Taiyuan City No. 1 Detention Center.

12. [Suqian City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Zhao Yifang Tried Twice

Mr. Zhao Yifang, 64, from Zhuhai Village, Wangguanji Town, Sucheng District, was arrested by officers from the Shaji Police Station, Suining County, and the Sucheng District 610 Office in August 2016 for helping others install satellite receivers to watch NTDTV programs.

He was tried and given a three-year prison term in March 2017, and taken to the Hongzehu Prison, Sihong County. He was brought back the the Suqian City Detention Center by the Sucheng District 610 Office in May 2017. He was tried for the second time on November 23, 2017.

13. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Practitioners Ms. Zeng Zhixiu, Ms. Huang Xueyu, and Ms. Jiang Guozhen from Deyang and Guanghan Cities were arrested by officers from the Songlin Police Station on February 27, 2018 for telling people about Falun Gong at a farmers market.
