(Minghui.org) I met an elderly man in a park on August 3, 2018. We chatted for a while, and I told him how corrupt the Communist Party (CCP) is and described the harm the Party has done to our people over the years: The Cultural Revolution, the Tiananmen Square massacre, and the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong.
I said, “Since the CCP has been in power, it has murdered more than 80 million innocent people. That is unforgivable, and sooner or later they will be met with retribution.
“Falun Gong is a Buddha school cultivation system in which practitioners conduct themselves according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They don’t pursue fame or gain and don’t harm people. Their goal is to elevate their moral character. But the communist party was afraid of losing power and began a large-scale persecution of Falun Gong.”
The elderly man remarked, “I like what you said. I am a member of the Party.”
I added, “We cannot give our lives to it. Please consider quitting the Party.”
He agreed and I gave him a book titled The Ultimate Goal of Communism. He gratefully accepted it. Before he left, I told him about repeating the phrases, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” which would protect him.
Two days later, I ran into him again in the park. He told me that the book I gave him was great and that everything in it was true. He exclaimed, “I am over 80, so I experienced all that!”
I told him to pass the booklet on to his family members, and he agreed.
On the morning of August 13, I went back to that park and saw the man surrounded by a group of people. He seemed very animated, describing a car accident he'd had a few days prior. He said that a car hit him while he was riding a bicycle. He flew off the bicycle and landed hard on the ground. His bicycle was totaled.
The driver took him to a hospital, but he was fine and didn’t even have a scratch on him. His blood pressure was a bit high, however, probably because he was nervous. The doctor and the driver were astonished that he was unhurt.
He recounted that his good fortune was the result of someone telling him about Falun Gong. He was told that it is a righteous practice and can save people: “When one’s heart is free of lies, and he believes that this practice is good, he will be rewarded with health and peace.” He took those words to heart.
The man confided to the group that he was 84 years old. How could he not be hurt after such a severe accident? His good fortune was due to the fact that the master (Li Hongzhi) of Falun Gong saved him from harm, and he felt immense gratitude.
People in the crowd remarked, “That’s miraculous. Falun Gong really can save people!”
I then stepped in and used the opportunity to tell them how wonderful Falun Dafa is. It was easy for me to clarify the truth to the group. Two more people agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
