(Minghui.org) My husband suffered an acute myocardial infarction on February 6, 2017, and was taken to a hospital in the city. The doctor told us that he needed bypass surgery that would cost around 60,000 yuan.

We had just spent 60,000 yuan to help my daughter with a financial need, so I did not know where to get the money for the surgery.

We eventually decided to go with the conservative treatment first and delay surgery until I was able to borrow enough money.

My husband was discharged from the hospital 10 days later, but he was reluctant to leave.

At home, I asked him to sincerely to recite, “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He was still worried about his condition and asked to have surgery. He could not eat or sleep well and worried that he may pass away during sleep.

I felt sad seeing him suffer. I remembered Master said, “Be considerate of others when you do things, and look at yourself when you get into disagreements.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2009 Washington DC International Fa Conference” from Teaching the Fa at the Conference IX)

I started to look at the issue from my husband's point of view. Why did I not quickly borrow money for his surgery? Why was I able to gather the same amount of money for my daughter’s need, but was reluctant to do the same for him? I realized it was because I had held a grudge against him for gambling all the time without making money.

Before my husband had his heart attack, he used to gamble every day playing mahjong. He would argue with me if I did not give him money to gamble. My daughter repeatedly urged me to divorce him, but as a Falun Dafa practitioner, I listened to Master and did not do so.

Master said, “Regardless of what he runs into, it all has causal reasons.” (Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Houston)

Master's Fa made me realize that I should treat him with compassion, no matter how he acted, especially since he has been supportive of Dafa.

I told my daughter, “Mom has decided to borrow money for dad’s bypass surgery.” My daughter was a little surprised and said she would help me get the money.

My daughter and I quickly gathered 36,000 yuan from friends and relatives, including a 20,000 yuan loan from an online loan lender.

I called the doctor and discussed the operation and payment plan. The doctor agreed on the first payment of 36,000 yuan and scheduled the operation for March 4, 2017, at 9:30 a.m.

On the day of his operation, my husband's coworkers and I were waiting outside the operating room. The doctor told us that the operation would last an hour.

The nurse called me in 40 minutes later. The doctor greeted me with a smile, “Good news, there is no need for surgery since all of his vessels are no longer clotted.”

I could not believe what I was hearing. I went inside the operation room and saw my husband with a big smile on his face. I called my daughter about the good news. She soon returned the loan back to the lender. Master had saved my husband's life.
