(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 46 were illegally arrested.

1. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Sufang Arrested

Ms. Li Sufang was arrested on April 24, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

2. [Heishan County, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhang Yingdong, Mr. Kou Deying, and Mr. Zhang Yaodong were arrested by officers from the Heishan Police Department on April 24, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Baorong Arrested

Mr. Liu Baorong was arrested on April 15, 2016.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners and Four Non-Practitioners Arrested

Two practitioners and four non-practitioners were arrested by officers from the Huanghe Road Police Station on April 21, 2016. They are Ms. Qin Xiulan, Mr. Yan Shoulin, Ms. Yang Chunmei, Ms. Pan Xiufen, and Ms. Wang Meili and her family member Mr. Liu.

The four non-practitioners were released that evening. Ms. Qin's whereabouts are still unknown.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wang Youkai and his wife Ms. Leng Hua were arrested on April 21, 2016. The police confiscated computers and printers.

Ms. Hao Chunying, Ms. Liu Jinyu and her son and daughter-in-law were also arrested.

6. [Huarong County, Hunan Province] Ms. Cai Dongyun Arrested

Ms. Cai Dongyun was arrested at home by officers from the Huarong County Police Department and the Chaqi Town Police Station on April 19, 2016. The police confiscated printers and laptop computers. Ms. Cai was taken to the Huarong County Detention Center and later to the Yueyang City Detention Center.

7. [Chongqing] Mr. Deng Liping Arrested

Mr. Deng Liping was arrested by officers from the Guanyinqiao Police Station on April 24, 2016.

8. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Qingchun Detained

Mr. Wang Qingchun was arrested by officers from the Tianqiao Police Department and the Beicun Police Station on April 15, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator. He was detained for five days.

9. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Du Shuying Arrested

Ms. Du Shuying was recently arrested and detained by officers from the Huangtai Police Station.

10. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zheng Weili Arrested

Ms. Zheng Weili was recently arrested and taken to the Huanshan Police Station by officers including Li Benhai from the Wendeng Domestic Security Division for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated her laptop computer. She was released that afternoon.

11. [Beijing] Mr. Fu Yujie and Ms. Li Suyun Arrested

Mr. Fu Yujie and his mother Ms. Li Suyun were arrested at home by officers from Beijing and the Yinanzhan Police Station on April 20, 2016. The police ransacked his home and confiscated two computers and a printer.

12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yaru Arrested

Ms. Liu Yaru was arrested on April 15, 2016. The police confiscated his Falun Gong books and computers.

13. [Gezhouba, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Yonghong Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yonghong and her non-practitioner younger brother were arrested on April 18, 2016. The police confiscated approximately 100,000 yuan in cash and credit cards.

14. [Cangxi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Deng Shaoqun Arrested

Ms. Deng Shaoqun was arrested at home by five officers from Lingjian Town on April 22, 2016. They confiscated Falun Gong books, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, and paper money which had Falun Gong information on it.

15. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Chen Guizhi, Ms. Sun Guifang, and Ms. Li Ying were arrested by officers from the local police station on April 13, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin. They were released three days later.

16. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Xu Xiaolong Arrested

Mr. Xu Xiaolong was arrested around April 16, 2016.

17. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Ren Caiyu Detained

Ms. Ren Caiyu was arrested on April 19, 2016, for hanging up banners having information about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained at Jialing District Detention Center.

18. [Pan County, Guizhou Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Chen Mingsai, Ms. Li Lei, and Ms. Zhong Yimei were recently arrested and their homes were ransacked by officers.

19. [Chongqing] Mr. Xie Xichun's Home and Store Ransacked

Mr. Xie Xichun's home and advertising store were ransacked by officers from the Jiangjin Police Department and Domestic Security Division and the Jijiang Police Station on April 22, 2016. The police confiscated a laptop computer, printers, two computer hard drives, Falun Gong books, paper money which had information about the persecution of Falun Gong on it, approximately 20,000 yuan in cash, informational materials, and other personal items. Ms. Xie's wife, Ms. Liu, was taken to Jijiang Police Station for interrogation. She was released around 9 p.m.

20. [Chongqing] Whereabouts of Ms. Luo Huirong and Ms. Xu Li Unknown

Ms. Luo Huirong, in her 60s, and Ms. Xu Li, in her 40s, were arrested on April 25, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their whereabouts are unknown.

21. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Arrested

Ms. Li was arrested on April 24, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

22. [Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Shu Hongxiu, Ms. Xiao Cifen, Ms. Yu Zee, Ms. Long Huifen, and Mr. Li Qi were arrested by local police officers on April 9, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Yanjiao Police Station and then to the Liuzhite District Police Department. They had blood forcibly drawn from them, were photographed, and their fingerprints were taken. They were released that afternoon.

23. [Beijing] Ms. Jia Fengzhi and Mr. Ma Zhanquan Sentenced

Ms. Jia Fengzhi and Mr. Ma Zhanquan were each sentenced to a two-year prison term by Pinggu Court on November 21, 2015. The Beijing No. 3 Intermediate Court upheld the sentence in January 2016. Ms. Jia and Mr. Ma were taken to Tiantanghe Prison in late April 2016.

24. [Dunhuang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Yang Xuefang Arrested

Ms. Yang Xuefang was arrested by officers from the Dunhuang Domestic Security Division on March 29, 2016. She was taken to the Dunhuang Police Department for interrogation. She also had fingerprints forcibly taken and her blood drawn. She was released that afternoon.

25. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Several practitioners were arrested by officers from a few police stations in Tonghua City on April 24, 2016. Ten practitioners known to be arrested are Ms. Zhou Xiulian, Ms. Yang Yang and her daughter, Ms. Hou Qinghua, Ms. Peng Guiyun and her husband, Ms. Yan Shufang, Mr. Du Guolin, Ms. Zhang Xueying, and Mr. Yang Benlin.

Ms. Hou, Ms. Yang, and Ms. Zhou were taken to a detention center. The detention center refused to admit Ms. Zhou due to heart disease.

Mr. Liu Jing was subject to brainwashing transformation at workplace by officers from the Tianhe District 610 Office on April 25, 2016.

27. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Zhaoyu Detained

Ms. Zhang Zhaoyu, arrested on July 24, 2015, is still held at Chaoyang District Detention Center. The police submitted her case to a court three times, but it was dismissed due to insufficient evidence. However, the police still refuse to release her.
