(Minghui.org) Ms. Zeng Liping of Yuanjiang, Hunan Province, is one of the over 4,000 Falun Gong practitioners who have filed criminal complaints against the former Chinese president Jiang Zemin for initiating the 16-year-long campaign of persecution against the practice.
The complaints were sent via the Express Mail Service (EMS) on June 1, 2015, to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and Supreme People's Court. Confirmations were signed by the officials in both organizations and received by Ms. Zeng.

In her complaints, Ms. Zeng charged Jiang with causing her and her family physical suffering as well as financial losses. She was arrested and detained multiple times, sentenced twice to forced labor camps, had several thousand yuan extorted from her, her home was ransacked, and her personal property was confiscated.
Key Persecution Details
Ms. Zeng was arrested several times for going to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong between December 1999 and July 2000. She was detained from two weeks to over a month after each arrest.
She recalled that she was humiliated, because the officers stripped her naked and then poured cold water over her when it was freezing out.
They extorted several thousand yuan from her family and she was fined 5,000 yuan, which was deducted from her wages. Although a search and seizure warrant was not presented, her house was ransacked and her belongings were confiscated.
She wrote that she was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor on January 22, 2001, and taken to the Baimalong Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province.
She was relentlessly tortured. Camp guards shocked her with an electric baton, including her mouth, hands and legs, for reciting the Falun Gong teachings. She was stabbed with needles and beaten.
She was again arrested on April 30, 2004. Without informing her family, she was taken directly to the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp and imprisoned for a year and a half.
When Ms. Zeng went on a hunger strike in protest, the guards brutally force fed her. They tied her hands and legs and pushed a medical instrument used to examine body cavities into her mouth. Each force feeding took at least an hour and was repeated twice a day.
She wrote that she suffered excruciating pain during these punitive sessions, which resulted in a swollen face and injuries that took a long time to heal.
For refusing to give up Falun Gong, she was deprived of sleep and tortured in other ways. In addition, her prison sentence was extended by four months.
Ms. Zeng began to practice Falun Gong in 1996 and recounted the many benefits she derived from the practice, such as good health and a happy family life, in her complaint.
Background
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
