(Minghui.org) Ms Fang Caixia, 48, from Ganjingzi District of Dalian City, Liaoning Province, has taken legal action against Jiang Zemin, former head and dictator of the Chinese Communist Party for the enormous mental and physical suffering she and her family have experienced during the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong. The persecution was launched by the accused in July 1999.

Simply for refusing to give up her spiritual belief, Ms. Fang was forced to spend a total of four years and nine months in the now defunct Masanjia Labor Camp between 2000 and 2010. She was subjected to forced labor and various forms of abuse during her imprisonment.

It was difficult to hold a stable job as she moved from place to place to avoid further arrests. Her husband in the meantime had long divorced her under pressure.

Ms. Fang holds Jiang responsible for her suffering through the years. Her criminal complaint against Jiang was sent to China's Supreme Procuratorate by express mail on June 1, 2015.

Ms. Fang Caixia's Ordeals

On October 26, 1999, Ms. Fang Caixia was illegally arrested when she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. She was sent back to Dalian later and unlawfully detained for 30 days at Yaojia Detention Center.

Her house was searched and ransacked twice by police without a warrant. The police also forced her family to pay them 3,000 yuan. Ms. Fang was forced to leave home and has been living a homeless life since.

In January of 2000, Ms. Fang was arrested again and sent to Masanjia Labor Camp for posting signs reading “Falun Dafa is Good.”

She was held at Masanjia for three years and three months, during which time she suffered torture and abuse, including coercive brainwashing, being chained to an “Iron Chair” for 13 days in a row (her buttocks festered badly as a result), being forced to stand still for long hours for several days in a row, and being forced to squat for three days and two nights straight. Her imprisonment also led to her divorce.

On April 3, 2009, Ms. Fang was once again arrested by police for handing out Shen Yun DVDs. She was beaten by police and administered unknown nerve-damaging drugs.

Ms. Fang was later sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for one and a half years, where she was subjected to heavy labor.

Background

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
