(Minghui.org) Mr. Luo Jichuan's, Mr. Zhong Haoxiang's and Mr. Wang Hongbo's pensions have been stopped for years under the local 610 Office directives because they refused to renounce their belief in Falun Gong.
Mr. Luo Jichuan, 75, was a high school teacher. He was arrested at his home by officers from Junshan Domestic Security Division and Qianlianghu Police Station on May 28, 2008, because of his belief in Falun Gong. He was detained for 10 days.
Zhang Shanwen, the local town Party chairman, demanded that he write the three statements to renounce Falun Gong, otherwise, his pension would be stopped. Under the local 610 Office directives, Mr. Luo's pension was stopped in June 2008. Mr. Luo has gone to the local authorities many times to ask for his pension, but his efforts came to nothing.
Mr. Zhong Haoxiang, 74, had his pension stopped in 2008. The local police went to his home to harass him frequently and ransacked his home. He has to rely on money earned from farming the land to survive.
Mr. Wang Hongbo, 72, has been arrested and had his home ransacked several times because of his belief in Falun Gong. His pension was stopped in September 2013 because he refused to renounce his belief. He tried to talk to the director of the local 610 Office, Peng Changhua, and a local official Zhang Shanwen to have his pension reinstated, but to no avail. The officers demanded he write the three statement to renounce Falun Gong.
