“Why Didn't You Object When I Wronged You?”
(Minghui.org) In 1997 when I was 30 years old, I worked in a factory. Once, I borrowed a magazine from my aunt and brought it to work. A coworker borrowed it from me to read. When she was returning it, another coworker saw it and said, “How did you get my magazine? I didn't know you would do something like that!” I told her that it was my aunt's, but she didn't believe me.
I didn't know what to do. I had started to practice cultivate Dafa not long before, and I suddenly realized that it must be a test. Master said:
“There are people who say, 'If I’m walking down the street and somebody kicks me, I can endure it, since nobody knows me.' I’d say that’s not good enough. Maybe later on you’ll be slapped in the face a couple times in front of the very person you least want to lose face around, and that’s to humiliate you, to see how you handle it, and to see whether you can endure it.” (Zhuan Falun)
So I said to her, “I'm sorry, my memory is not good. Please forgive me. Here is your magazine.”
However, a week later, she returned the magazine to me. She said that she had found hers under her bed. She explained what happened in front of everyone at work and even bought snacks for us.
She asked me, “Why didn't you object when I wronged you?” I replied, “It's only a magazine.” She put her thumb up and said, “You are good!”
The incident gave me a better understanding of “if you can take a step back you’ll see things in a whole new light” (Zhuan Falun). I not only improved my xinxing, I was also able to show how good Falun Dafa is, because everyone knew I was a practitioner.
I have benefited greatly from following the Dafa teachings and being a good person.
