Additional Persecution News from China – October 5, 2014 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 8 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xu Jinxiu Sentenced

Ms. Xu Jinxiu was arrested and taken to a detention center on June 8, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was recently sentenced to a three year and three month prison term.

2. [Yongxing County, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Liao Simei was arrested and taken to the Longxing City Brainwashing Center by officers from the Yongxing County 610 Office on September 28, 2014. The police forced her to write the three statements.

Ms. Liu Yunnu, Ms. Li Suying, and an unnamed practitioner were also arrested and taken to the same brainwashing center on September 29, 2014.

3. [Jinzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Dai Huiying Taken to a Men's Prison

Ms. Dai Huiying, 42, was arrested and taken to the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center on March 7, 2013, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was later sentenced by the Jinzhou City Court. The Hebei Women's Prison refused to accept her for medical reasons. She was transferred to the Tangshan Men's Prison by officers from the Jinzhou Detention Center.

4. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Yongjun Imprisoned

Mr. Wang Yongjun was arrested and taken to the Xinji City Detention Center on January 29, 2014. Seven months later he was sentenced to a four-year prison term. He is being held at the Jidong Prison in Tangshan City.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhou Hui Arrested

Mr. Zhou Hui was arrested at home by about five officers from the Zhoushuizi Police Station on the afternoon of September 25, 2014. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a computer, two printers, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and 35,000 yuan.

6. [Jianhu County, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Hong Youquan Arrested

Mr. Hong Youquan was arrested by local officers on September 6, 2014.

7. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Fu Yuerong's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Fu Yuerong was arrested by officers from the Zhongshanling Police Station on September 30, 2014. Her whereabouts is unknown.
