(Minghui.org) Mr. Wang Qia is a practitioner in the Chenghai District of Shantou City, Guangdong Province. More than 10 agents from the local Domestic Security Division arrested him at 4 p.m. on February 23, 2013, and ransacked his home.

Shantou Domestic Security Division agent Li Dongming said, “When we arrest a Falun Gong practitioner, we will ruin his family and destroy his home.”

Since the persecution of Falun Gong started more than 10 years ago, three generations of Mr. Wang’s family have been severely mistreated.

Mr. Wang's Father Died As a Result of Persecution; CCP Official Threatened to Kill Him

Wang Peiming, Mr. Wang Qia’s father, was a successful businessman. After he began to practice Falun Gong in 1996, he introduced the practice to his parents, wife, and son, as well as neighbors and friends. When the number of practitioners increased, Mr. Wang Peiming was chosen to be the Falun Dafa Assistant Center coordinator in the Chenghai District. He was also selected as an assistant coordinator for the Falun Dafa Assistant Center in Shantou City.

-Arrested, Detained, Tortured, and Threatened

After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, Mr. Wang Peiming immediately became a target of the suppression. Agents from the Shantou and Chenghai 610 Office and the police arrested him and secretly detained him for nearly two weeks.

Officials tricked him into going to the Chenghai Police Department on June 26, 2000, and tortured him for three days. He was also deprived of food and sleep.

The Shantou 610 Office, Shantou Domestic Security Division (Chen Zhiwei, Li Dongming), Chenghai 610 Office, Chenghai Domestic Security Division, Waisha Town 610 Office, Waisha Police Station, and Fengxiang Police Station were all involved in this.

The agents threatened and swore at Mr. Wang Peiming. Li Dongming and Shen Zhiyong also pointed guns at his head, threatening to kill him.

He was then held in the Baisha Detention Center for two and a half years. During that time, officials shut down his business. His car was taken by the Waisha Police.

Mr. Wang was physically and mentally abused. He was beaten, sworn at, traumatized, made to do slave labor, and had large sums of money extorted from him.

Chen Zhiwei and Li Dongming threatened him many times. Chenghai District CCP head Luo Yangpeng screamed at him, “I will torture you to death.”

-Brainwashed, Pressured to Renounce His Belief

When the forced labor camp term of two and a half years expired, instead of releasing him, officials took him from the Baisha Detention Center in Waisha Town and brainwashed him for over three more months. Shantou 610 Office, Chenghai 610 Office, Shantou Domestic Security Division, Chenghai Domestic Security Division, and Waisha Police Station were all involved.

During that time, they used all kinds of methods to mentally torture Mr. Wang Peiming. They deprived him of sleep and forced him to read materials containing lies that defamed Falun Gong.

After nearly three years of torture and extreme mental pressure, Mr. Wang could not take anymore and wrote a guarantee statement saying he would give up practicing Falun Gong. He was then released.

-Forced to Live away from Home, Passes Away

To avoid further harassment, Mr. Wang stayed away from home. After years of torture and mental pressure, he was extremely depressed and died on September 19, 2005. He was only 51 years old.

Mr. Wang's Mother Imprisoned

Mr. Wang Qia’s mother, Ms. Cai Yuechan, also began to practice Falun Gong in 1996. By following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, she worked to be a better person. However, she was also mistreated because of her belief.

Ms. Cai was put in the Baisha Detention Center on June 26, 2000, and tortured. Because she gave a Shen Yun Performing Arts DVD to someone on December 4, 2010, Ou’ting Police Station agents in Shantou City arrested her and held her in Tuopu Detention Center.

Longhu District Court officials sentenced Ms. Cai to 18 months of imprisonment on July 7, 2011.

Mr. Wang's Grandfather Died As a Result of Persecution

In addition to Mr. Wang Qia’s parents, his elderly grandfather was also detained for five months in the Baisha Detention Center in late 2000 by officials from Chenghai 610 Office, Chenghai Police Department, and Waisha Police Station.

More than 10 agents went to Mr. Wang Huijing’s home to arrest him in April 2001. The perpetrators included agents from the Chenghai 610 Office, Chenghai Domestic Security Division, Waisha 610 Office, and Waisha Police Station.

Ye Xianhua, Chenghai Political and Legal Affairs Committee head, said Mr. Wang Huijing would not be arrested if he agreed to swear at the founder of Falun Gong. When Mr. Wang refused, agents took him to the Laiwu Brainwashing Center in the Chenghai District, where he was brainwashed and mentally tortured for 50 days.

As a result of years of persecution and the heavy blow resulting from his son's death, Mr. Wang Huijing died in late 2012.

Soon afterwards, officials began to extend the persecution to Mr. Wang Qia.
