Additional Persecution News from China – October 29, 2013 (16 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Family of Four Arrested

A group of plainclothes officers from the Sandongqiao Police Station broke into Mr. Sun Dekun's home on the night of October 23, 2013. Mr. Sun and his wife, daughter and son were arrested and taken to the Sandongqiao Police Station in Huanggu District. Police ransacked the family's home and confiscated their computer, printer, CD burner, Falun Gong books and other property.

Mr. Sun's wife and son were released on the night of October 26, 2013. Mr. Sun and his daughter were transferred to the Shenyang Detention Center.

2. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhu Kai Arrested

Mr. Zhu Kai is a teacher at the Xiongshi Modern Arts Design School in Shengyang. He was arrested at his mother's home on the night of October 27, 2013. His whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Anshan, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Three family members of Mr. Long Gang were arrested at home on the night of October 27, 2013.

4. [Gongyi, Henan Province] Mr. Meng Qingkai and His Son Detained

Mr. Meng Qingkai and his son were arrested at home by officers from the Gongyi Domestic Security Division at noon on October 23, 2013. They are being held at the Gongyi Detention Center.

5. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Guiying Detained

Ms. Zhang Guiying, in her 70s, was arrested by Dai Hongwei, deputy chief of the Kaoshan Police Station, and other officers on the morning of October 25, 2013. She was taken to the Nongan Detention Center.

6. [Tongcheng, Hubei Province] Mr. Hu Dongyuan Arrested

Officers from the Tongcheng Domestic Security Division and Junshui Police Station rushed into Mr. Hu Dongyuan's home and arrested him on the morning of October 23, 2013. They took him to the Xianning Brainwashing Center.

7. [Jilin, Jilin Province] Ms. Ma Fang Forced to Leave Home, Husband Arrested

Ms. Ma Fang's husband was arrested on October 18, 2013. Police searched the couple's home and confiscated three printers. Ms. Ma was forced to leave home to avoid being arrested as well.

8. [Lanzhou, Gansu Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

The Chengguan District Court sentenced Mr. Wang Youjiang, Ms. Chen Jie, Ms. Ge Qingchun and Ms. Lu Yueling to prison on September 24, 2013. Mr. Wang was given a 6-year term.

9. [Qingdao, Shandong Province] Mr. Qiao Fangtian Arrested

Mr. Qiao Fangtian was arrested by officers from the Wenshui County Police Department while delivering letters about Falun Gong to Public Security agents in Wenshui County on the morning of October 28, 2013.

10. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Aiqing Detained

Ms. Liu Aiqing, in her 60s, was reported to police for speaking to people about Falun Gong on September 2, 2013. She was arrested and is being held at the Dongli Detention Center.

11. [Zhengzhou, Henan Province] Ms. Xing Aixiang Detained

Officials from the Jincheng Property Management tricked Ms. Xing Aixiang into opening the door under the guise of collecting a water bill payment on December 7, 2011. Cheng Peng and other officers from the Zhengzhou Domestic Security Division then rushed into her home and arrested her. They also confiscated her computer, MP3 player, printer, and other property. Ms. Xing was taken to the Zhengzhou No. 1 Detention Center.

The Jinshui District Court sentenced Ms. Xing to three years in prison on February 20, 2013. She is being held at the Xinxiang Women's Prison in Henan Province.

12. [Macheng, Hubei Province] Ms. Yan Yingzhong Arrested

Ms. Yan Yingzhong from Huangtugang Town was arrested on the morning of October 25, 2013. Police ransacked her home and confiscated her computer, printer and other property.

13. [Kaifeng, Henan Province] Ms. Yang Jingfang Arrested

Ms. Yang Jingfang was arrested by plainclothes police on September 24, 2013.

14. [Nanjing, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Lijun and Ms. Zhuang Rong Arrested

Ms. Wang Lijun and Ms. Zhuang Rong from the Lishui District were arrested on October 23, 2013. Ms. Zhuang was taken to the Gaochun Detention Center.

15. [Nanchong, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Mingzhu and Ms. Gao Zhijun Detained

Ms. Luo Mingzhu and Ms. Gao Zhijun were arrested while talking to people about Falun Gong on October 23, 2013. They are being held at the Huafeng Detention Center.

16. [Ningbo, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Zhang Jinhua Imprisoned

Ms. Zhang Jinhua was sentenced to 6 years in prison and taken to the Hangzhou Prison.
